Web Application Development Price in Bangladesh

Web application development price in Bangladesh — written out in full, not whispered after you book a call.

Most Bangladeshi agencies refuse to publish a number. You fill a form, sit through a meeting, then they quote based on how expensive your shoes look. I work differently. Pricing starts at 50,000 BDT, three brochure-style web app tiers up to 1,50,000 BDT, and custom builds from 3,00,000 BDT. You see the number before you book the call.

Fixed quote in writing. 50% advance, 50% on launch. Design approval before a single line of code. One senior operator from scope to ship — no junior swap, no agency markup.

What you actually pay for

The Real Cost of Building a Web Application in Bangladesh

If you have searched "web application development price in bangladesh" more than twice, you already know the pattern. One vendor quotes 35,000 BDT for an "app." Another quotes 18 lakh for what sounds like the same thing. Neither will explain why. The reason is that nine times out of ten, the cheap quote is a WordPress template with a contact form glued on, and the expensive quote is a real custom build padded with three project managers you will never speak to. Both are technically web applications. Only one of them will still be running in eighteen months.

A web application is not a website with extra pages. It has user accounts, a database that changes, business logic that runs on a server, dashboards, role-based permissions, sometimes payments, sometimes integrations with bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz or a courier API. The price depends on how many of those pieces you actually need. A small internal admin tool for a 6-person team is not the same animal as a multi-vendor marketplace with seller payouts. Anyone quoting you a flat "app price" without asking what it does is guessing.

I run this as a solo practice. Roughly five years building for Bangladeshi businesses — retailers, service providers, small SaaS owners, agency founders who got burned once. I do the discovery call, I write the scope, I design the screens, I write the code, I deploy to the server, I hand you the keys. You always know who you are talking to and there is no "developer left the company, sorry" email six months in.

The pricing below is real and published on purpose. If your project fits inside one of the tiers, that is what you pay. If it does not, I quote custom from 3,00,000 BDT and the quote is itemised so you can see where the taka goes. No "call for pricing," no inflated retainer to recover the discount they pretended to give you.

What 50,000 BDT and Up Actually Buys You

Here is what is baked into every web application engagement, regardless of which tier you land in. These are not upsells.

01

Published Price Floor

50,000 BDT is the real entry point for a small functional web app from me — typically a single-purpose internal tool with login, one or two key workflows, and a clean admin view. No "starting from" theatre.

02

Three Clear Tiers

50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT cover most small-to-mid web apps. Custom builds start at 3,00,000 BDT and are quoted line-by-line so you see exactly what each module costs.

03

50/50 Payment, Written Down

Half on signing the scope, half on launch day after you have logged in and clicked around. No surprise milestone invoice in the middle, no hostage situations at handover.

04

Design Approval Guarantee

I do not start building until you sign off on the screens. If the design rounds eat more time than expected, that is on me — the quote does not move because I underestimated.

05

BD Payments Built In

bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz, Rocket — if your app needs to take taka, integration is scoped from day one, not bolted on later with a change-order invoice.

06

One Senior Operator

Around five years of shipping web apps in Bangladesh. You message me directly on WhatsApp during the build. No account manager translating your words into a Jira ticket that loses half the meaning.

In focus

What Actually Drives the Price (Read This Before You Compare Quotes)

The single biggest cost driver in any web app is the number of user roles and the actions each role can take. A tool where one admin manages a list of orders is small. The same tool where customers also log in to track their orders, delivery agents log in to mark items delivered, and finance logs in to reconcile bKash payouts is roughly four times the work — because each role needs its own screens, permissions, and edge-case handling. When you compare quotes, ask the vendor to list user roles and the screens for each. If they cannot, they are not pricing your real project; they are pricing a sketch.

The second driver is integrations and data. A login form is cheap. A login form that calls the bKash payment API, sends an OTP via Alpha SMS, pushes a courier booking to Pathao or RedX, and emails a receipt is a multi-day job per integration once you account for sandbox testing, failure handling, and the inevitable day the bKash sandbox goes down during testing.

Hosting and ongoing costs sit on top: a small web app on a basic VPS runs 500–2,000 BDT a month, while anything serious — proper backups, a staging environment, a CDN, a managed database — is closer to 3,000–8,000 BDT a month. Those are recurring and they are not my markup; they are what AWS, DigitalOcean or Hostinger actually charge. I quote them separately so you know which taka go to me and which go to infrastructure.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions Bangladeshi founders actually ask before signing a web app contract.

Web application koto taka lagbe? What is the real starting price?

50,000 BDT is the published floor for a small, focused web app — think a single internal tool with login, a couple of workflows, an admin view. Most real business apps land in the 90,000–1,50,000 BDT tiers. Custom multi-role builds with bKash, courier APIs, dashboards and reports are 3,00,000 BDT and up, quoted itemised.

Why do other Bangladeshi vendors refuse to publish prices?

Two reasons. One, they are scared of being undercut by template-pushers. Two, they want to price each client based on perceived budget — a Gulshan office gets one quote, a Mirpur startup gets another for the same scope. I publish numbers because if my price is wrong for you, I would rather you find out in 30 seconds than after three meetings.

What is the difference between a web app at 90,000 BDT and one at 1,50,000 BDT?

Mostly: number of user roles, number of distinct screens, and whether real integrations are involved. At 90,000 BDT you typically get a single-role app with 6–10 screens and basic auth. At 1,50,000 BDT you can have two or three roles, payment integration, a proper admin dashboard with filters and exports, and email/SMS notifications wired in.

Do you integrate bKash and Nagad in the base price?

If payment is in scope, yes — it is quoted in from day one inside the 1,50,000 BDT tier or the custom build. I have integrated bKash Tokenized Checkout, Nagad merchant payment, and SSLCommerz multiple times, so I know the gotchas (sandbox quirks, IPN failures, refund flow) and price the integration realistically. No surprise change-order halfway through.

How does the 50/50 payment work and what happens if I change my mind mid-project?

50% advance after we sign the written scope, 50% on launch day after you have tested. If you want to add scope after I have started, I price the addition separately and you approve it before I touch it — no silent inflation. If you cancel after design approval, the advance is non-refundable because the design work has already happened; if you cancel before, we figure it out fairly.

Hosting, domain and maintenance — are those included in the price?

No, and you should be suspicious of anyone who says they are. Hosting (DigitalOcean, AWS, Hostinger, etc.) is a real recurring cost paid to the provider — typically 500–8,000 BDT/month depending on app size. Domain is roughly 1,000–1,500 BDT/year. Maintenance is optional and quoted separately if you want it. I will help you set up everything on your own account so you own the infrastructure, not me.
