Responsive Website Design in Bangladesh

Responsive website design in Bangladesh — built mobile-first, for the phone in your customer's hand, not the laptop on a designer's desk.

Most of your visitors arrive on a 6.1-inch Android over patchy 4G. I design every page for that screen first, then scale up to tablet and desktop. No squashed layouts. No tiny tap targets. No 8MB hero images that eat their data.

Solo senior designer-developer. ~5 years building responsive sites for Bangladeshi businesses. Investment starts at 50,000 BDT.

About the person building your site

One operator. Designed on a phone first, every time.

Open your site on a Walton or a basic Xiaomi over a Robi 4G signal in Mirpur — that's the honest stress test. Not a Retina MacBook in a co-working space. I design responsive websites in Bangladesh by starting with the worst-case device and the slowest realistic connection, then layering up. If it feels fast and obvious there, the desktop version is easy.

I am RH Fardin, a solo website designer and developer based in Bangladesh. For about five years I've built sites for clinics, exporters, retailers, schools and service businesses across Dhaka, Chattogram and beyond — every layout drawn, coded and tested by me. No agency layer. No junior handing your design off to a stranger. The same person who took your brief writes the CSS that decides where your CTA sits on a 360px screen.

Responsive doesn't mean 'shrink the desktop.' It means deciding what gets cut, stacked, hidden behind an accordion or pinned to the bottom of the screen — based on what your buyer actually does with their thumb. I make those decisions for every page, not just the homepage. Product detail, contact form, blog post, checkout — each one rebuilt for mobile, not auto-collapsed by a template.

I work with one or two clients at a time so I can ship in 2-5 weeks instead of letting your project rot in a backlog. You get my direct WhatsApp, weekly progress demos on real devices, and a written design-approval guarantee before a single line of code is written.

What's included

Why this responsive design actually works on Bangladeshi phones

Six things that separate a real mobile-first build from a desktop site forced into a tiny window.

01

True mobile-first

Wireframes start at 360px width on a low-end Android, not 1440px. Your most important content and CTA are visible before the user lifts their thumb.

02

Tested on real 4G

I throttle Chrome DevTools to Slow 4G and test on actual Walton, Symphony and budget Xiaomi devices — not just iPhone simulators on macOS.

03

Thumb-friendly tap zones

Buttons sized 44px or larger, spaced so fingers don't mis-tap. Phone and WhatsApp CTAs pinned where the thumb naturally rests.

04

Image weight under control

WebP, srcset, lazy-loading and proper compression. A homepage that loads under 2 seconds on a Banglalink 4G connection in Sylhet, not just on your office wifi.

05

Breakpoints that make sense

Layouts adapt at the points your content actually breaks, not at arbitrary 768/1024 lines. Tested on phones, foldables, tablets and 13-27 inch desktops.

06

Bangla + English ready

Fonts, line-heights and word-breaks tuned for Bangla typography on small screens — no awkward broken yuktakhars or oversized headings cutting off.

What 'mobile-first' actually means in Bangladesh — and where most sites fail

Bangladesh runs on mobile. Somewhere around nine out of ten people browsing your site will do it from a phone, most over 4G, many on devices under 30,000 taka with 3GB of RAM. That changes everything about how a responsive site should be built. Hero videos that autoplay are a data tax. Carousels that need swiping are usually ignored. Mega menus designed for hover do nothing on a touch screen. And forms with 12 fields stacked vertically? People give up at field five and message you on Facebook instead.

When I design a responsive website in Bangladesh, I make the hard choices the templates won't. The hero collapses to one short line, one image, one button — phone number or WhatsApp, whichever converts in your category. Navigation hides behind a clean hamburger that opens to a single-tap list, not a four-level dropdown. Forms ask for two or three fields max above the fold; the rest comes after the lead is captured. Pricing tables stack into swipeable cards. Footers shrink to essentials with a sticky bKash / Nagad / call bar.

The desktop version is built afterward — and on a 1440px screen it feels generous, not stretched. That order matters. Desktop-down sites in Bangladesh always feel cramped on mobile; mobile-up sites feel deliberate on every screen.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

Straight answers about responsive website design in Bangladesh.

Responsive website design er koto taka khoroch hobe Bangladesh-e?

My responsive website design in Bangladesh starts at 50,000 BDT for a focused 5-7 page mobile-first site. The 90,000 BDT tier covers 10-15 pages with deeper content, blog and proper SEO. 1,50,000 BDT is for larger business sites with custom illustrations, advanced forms and multi-language. Fully custom builds start from 3,00,000 BDT. Payment is 50% advance, 50% on launch.

What does 'responsive' actually mean — isn't every modern site already responsive?

Technically most templates scale, but very few are designed for mobile first. Real responsive design means the mobile layout was drawn before the desktop one, navigation and CTAs are rebuilt for touch (not shrunk from hover), and the whole page is tested on a 360px Android over throttled 4G. I do all of that on every page, not just the homepage.

How do you test that the site works on the cheap phones my customers actually use?

Three layers. First, Chrome DevTools with device emulation and Slow 4G throttling on the most common BD screen sizes (360, 375, 414px). Second, real-device testing on a budget Android and a mid-range Xiaomi or Walton. Third, Google PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse mobile audits, with a target of 85+ performance score on mobile.

Will the site handle Bangla text properly on small screens?

Yes. I use Bangla-optimised fonts like Hind Siliguri, Tiro Bangla or Noto Sans Bengali, set line-height around 1.7-1.8 for readability, and tune word-break and overflow-wrap so yuktakhars don't break awkwardly. I test headlines at 320px to make sure long Bangla words don't overflow or push the layout.

How long does a responsive website design project take in Bangladesh?

2-3 weeks for a 5-7 page site at the 50,000 BDT tier. 3-4 weeks for 10-15 pages at 90,000 BDT. 4-6 weeks for the 1,50,000 BDT business tier. Custom builds from 3,00,000 BDT run 6-10 weeks. I work with one or two clients at a time, so your slot is real — not parked in a queue.

Can you rebuild my existing site to be properly responsive instead of starting from scratch?

Often, yes. If your content and brand are solid but the site looks broken on phones, I can keep your domain, content and most assets, then rebuild the front-end mobile-first on a faster, cleaner foundation. This usually costs less than a full rebuild and ships in 2-3 weeks. Send me your URL and I'll tell you honestly which path makes sense.
