Heavier sites, WooCommerce stores with many products, or sites that need more content edits each month are quoted higher. Payment can be monthly, quarterly, or yearly via bKash, Nagad or bank transfer. Yes, as long as the codebase is in reasonable shape. I do a one-time audit first to check WordPress version, plugin list, hosting setup, backups, security state, and how the original developer left things. If the site is clean, I take over maintenance. If it is dangerously outdated or full of nulled plugins, I will tell you honestly and either clean it up or recommend a rebuild instead of pretending a sick site is healthy.
Hosting is the server space your site lives on, like Exonhost, Putul, Hostever or DigitalOcean. They keep the machine running. Maintenance is everything on top of that, the actual care of your website files, content, plugins, backups, security, and updates. Hosting providers in Bangladesh almost never fix your WordPress site if it breaks, they only restart the server. You need both, and they are very different jobs.
