What actually drives the cost of a website in Bangladesh
Five things move the number, and none of them are mysterious. First, page count and content — a tight five-page business site costs less than a thirty-page site with multiple service sections. Second, design: a clean template-led build sits at the lower tiers, while fully custom design and animation is what takes a project toward and past 3,00,000 BDT. Third, functionality — a brochure site is cheap; once you add bookings, user logins, dashboards, or an ecommerce cart with bKash and Nagad, you're paying for real engineering, not just pages.
Fourth, integrations: payment gateways, courier and delivery APIs, CRM or inventory hookups all add genuine development hours. And fifth, content readiness — if your text and images are ready, we move fast; if I'm writing and sourcing everything, that's more of my time in the bill.
Here's the honest part most quotes won't tell you: the cheapest option isn't always the one that saves you money. A 50,000 BDT site is the right call for a clear, focused business presence. But if you're running an ecommerce store taking daily orders, under-spending on a fragile build costs you far more in lost sales and patch-up work than choosing the right tier would have.
My job when you ask about cost is to point you at the tier that fits what your business actually needs to do online — not the biggest invoice I can justify. Tell me your goal and your budget, and I'll tell you straight whether 50,000, 90,000, 1,50,000, or a custom build is the honest answer.
