In Dhaka, the phrase "web design company" covers a wild range. At one end are BASIS-listed firms with real offices in Gulshan and Banani, with HR, a sales team and 30 or more developers. Both have their place. Neither is what I am. I sit in a planned middle ground. I am a registered, full-time senior who works alone, with five years of paid client work. I run like a small studio, so the price you pay covers senior work, not junior work padded with agency overhead.
A mid-tier Dhaka agency might quote 1,80,000 BDT for a brochure site. Half of that pays for a project manager, a sales executive, a junior designer and a junior developer. None of them is the person doing the design thinking.
I quote 90,000 BDT for the same scope. The only labour you pay for is the senior doing the work, with no middle layer. That is the whole money case for a one-person company over a big one. For a lot of Dhaka SMEs, it is the right call.

I start at 50,000 BDT for a focused one-page or small brochure site. A standard 5 to 7 page business website with contact forms and basic SEO setup is 90,000 BDT. A content-rich site with custom sections, a blog and proper on-page SEO is 1,50,000 BDT. Custom builds start at 3,00,000 BDT. That covers multi-language sites, complex integrations and web apps. You pay 50% advance and 50% on launch. Mid-tier agencies often quote 1.5x to 2x for the same scope. Their overhead is bigger, not their output.
Honest answer: timelines slip by a few days, not weeks. I only take 3 to 4 active projects at a time and always quote with some buffer. I tell you this upfront in the contract. After launch, I document the hosting and code well. A capable developer in Dhaka could take over in hours if something ever happened to me. No project of mine has gone off track because of this. Still, it is a fair question.

Every site I ship is mobile-first. I design the phone layout before the desktop layout, not the other way around. I test page speed on a mid-range Android over 4G, not on my MacBook over fibre.
