From DM orders to a real store
The Uttara brand that outgrew its Instagram inbox
Here is the exact moment most of my Uttara clients reach me. The page is doing fine — a fashion label out of Sector 7, a home-decor brand near Rajlokkhi, a skincare reseller working out of an apartment off Jasimuddin Avenue. Boosted posts are bringing DMs. But every order is a manual conversation: someone screenshots the bKash send-money, someone asks the delivery charge to Mymensingh three times, someone ghosts after you spend ten minutes confirming the order.
The owner is doing operations through a phone keyboard, and growth is capped not by demand but by how many DMs one human can handle in a day. That is the wall. Shopify store development in Uttara, done right, is how you get over it.
I am RH Fardin, a website designer and developer based in Bangladesh, and I have spent roughly five years building stores for founders across Dhaka — a steady run of them from Uttara, Sector 3 through Sector 14 and out toward Diabari. I work alone on purpose. When you hire me you are not handed to a junior after the sales call; the person who quotes you, designs the store in Figma, writes the Liquid and replies when checkout misbehaves on a Friday sale is the same person.
For a brand making the jump from a Facebook page to a real store, that continuity matters more than a big team, because the early decisions — which categories, how to handle COD returns, whether to even be on Shopify — are judgement calls, not tasks.
What the build actually involves is specific to how Uttara buyers behave. Most of your traffic is mid-range Android phones on 4G, scrolling at night, deciding in seconds. So the store has to be fast and the product page has to pre-answer the questions your inbox gets all day: price, delivery charge inside and outside Dhaka, how many days, and how to pay.
I wire bKash and Nagad through a Bangladesh-supported gateway like SSLCommerz, aamarPay or ShurjoPay so buyers stop screenshotting payments, set up cash-on-delivery with phone verification to cut the unpaid returns that haunt Uttara-to-outside-Dhaka parcels, and connect the Pathao, Steadfast or RedX flow your operations person already knows. Then I hand you a Loom so you can add products and run a sale without calling me.
I am honest about fit before you spend anything. My floor is 50,000 BDT, terms are 50% advance and 50% on launch, and on the first call I will tell you straight whether Shopify earns its monthly dollar subscription for your margins, whether WooCommerce would save you that recurring fee, or whether your order volume is still low enough that you should keep selling off the page a little longer. Shopify store development uttara is what I do, but I would rather lose the project than sell you a store you are not ready to feed.
