Shopify Store Development in Rajshahi

Shopify store development in Rajshahi, built so a buyer in Dhaka can pay you on bKash and finish checkout on a phone in under a minute.

You picked Shopify for a reason — it is clean, it is fast, the apps are good, and it does not break the week before Eid the way a cheap WooCommerce build does. Fair choice. But Shopify was built for a seller in Texas, not one off Saheb Bazar, so out of the box it offers your customer a Visa card and nothing they actually use.

I do Shopify store development in Rajshahi that fixes the part Shopify ignores: bKash and Nagad wired into the checkout properly, cash-on-delivery as the default, and a courier handoff a sender in Rajshahi can actually run. Floor is 50,000 BDT, the theme you approve is the store that launches, and one senior operator builds the whole thing.

50,000 BDT floor. bKash, Nagad and COD set up the right way for Bangladesh. ~5 years building stores, one senior developer start to finish — no agency, no junior on your shop.

Shopify store development Rajshahi

Shopify is the easy part. Making it take bKash from a Rajshahi shop is the work.

Here is the honest truth nobody selling you a Shopify store in Bangladesh says out loud: Shopify Payments does not work here. It is not available in Bangladesh, full stop. So the slick one-tap checkout in every Shopify demo video — the one that makes the platform feel effortless — is exactly the part that does not exist for you out of the box.

A fresh Shopify store set up by someone who copied a YouTube tutorial will happily show your Rajshahi silk to a buyer in Dhaka, walk them all the way to checkout, and then ask for a Visa or Mastercard that most of your customers do not have and would not use online if they did. The order dies right there.

The platform is brilliant; the default payment story is wrong for this country, and bridging that gap properly is most of what shopify store development rajshahi sellers are really paying me for.

So why Shopify at all, if WooCommerce takes bKash more easily? Because for a lot of Rajshahi sellers Shopify is genuinely the right call, and I will tell you plainly when it is. It does not fall over during a mango-season or Eid rush. You are not patching a hacked WordPress site at midnight. The apps for reviews, bundles, upsells and email are a tap away.

And if your ambition points outward — exporting Rajshahi silk to buyers in the Gulf or the UK, running a clean Facebook and Instagram shop, looking like a real brand and not a Facebook page — Shopify gets you there faster and looks the part. The cost is honesty in two places: you pay Shopify a monthly subscription in US dollars forever, and bKash takes a bit of setup work instead of a free plugin. I build around both so you know exactly what you are signing up for.

I am RH Fardin, a solo website designer and developer based in Bangladesh with around five years building the kind of online stores small-to-mid Rajshahi sellers actually run. I have set up Shopify the right way for sellers here and I have also talked people out of it — a tiny single-product seller doing six orders a week does not need a dollar subscription, and I will say so before you pay me, not after.

When Shopify is the right fit, I personally scope it, design the theme, wire bKash and Nagad into the checkout the proper way, set cash-on-delivery and courier rates for a sender outside Dhaka, load your products, test the whole thing on a real mid-range phone, and hand you a store and an admin you can run yourself in Bangla-friendly plain steps. No junior learning on your shop. No account manager repeating your own brief back to you.

Pricing starts at 50,000 BDT, and that is a real launched Shopify store, not a half-set theme you finish yourself off a tutorial. Tiers run 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT as your product range, payment setup and automation needs grow, and a fully custom build starts at 3,00,000 BDT. Terms are the same for everyone: 50% advance to begin, 50% on launch, and a design-approval guarantee — I do not touch development until you have signed off on the theme.

One thing I keep separate and clear from the first call: my 50,000 BDT is the build. Shopify's own monthly subscription is paid to Shopify in your name, and I show you the real dollar number before you commit so it is never a surprise on your card later.

What's included

What a Rajshahi Shopify build actually includes

Six working pieces I make sure are running before the launch invoice goes out — each one chosen for how a Rajshahi seller really trades, and for the specific things Shopify does not do on its own in Bangladesh.

01

bKash & Nagad checkout

Shopify has no native bKash, so I set it up the working way — a manual payment method with bKash and Nagad numbers and order-ID reference, or a third-party gateway if your volume justifies the fee. Your Dhaka buyer pays the way they actually pay, instead of staring at a card field and leaving.

02

COD done right

Cash-on-delivery as a real checkout option, not an afterthought, because most up-country and first-time buyers still pay on delivery. Set with delivery-charge logic for inside-Rajshahi, outside-Rajshahi and Dhaka so COD orders do not quietly eat your margin.

03

Built to ship out

A Rajshahi seller ships outward, not across town. Checkout collects clean division, district and thana fields and orders export in a shape Pathao, Steadfast and RedX accept for a parcel originating in Rajshahi — so your team is not retyping every address into a courier portal.

04

Made for silk

A theme that does justice to cloth and craft — close-up zoom, true colour, weave and length spelled out — because a buyer paying real money for Rajshahi silk decides on the photo and the detail. Variants for colour and size set up cleanly, the way Shopify does best.

05

Fast on weak 4G

Shopify is quick, but a bloated theme and ten heavy apps undo that. I keep the theme lean and images compressed so pages open in seconds on a mid-range Android over a Rajshahi 4G signal that wobbles — because a slow store loses the sale before the silk even loads.

06

Run it yourself

Shopify's admin is genuinely easy, and I set it up so your team adds products, edits prices and marks orders shipped from a phone — with a short plain-language handover, no call to me for every change. A big part of why Shopify is worth its subscription for the right seller.

In focus

The bKash question, answered honestly before you pay

The single most important thing to understand about a Shopify store in Bangladesh is how it takes money, because Shopify itself does not solve this for you. Shopify Payments — the built-in, one-tap card checkout that makes the platform look so smooth in every ad — is not available in Bangladesh. That leaves you three honest routes, and I will walk you through which fits your shop before a taka changes hands.

The first is a manual payment method: the buyer chooses 'bKash' or 'Nagad' at checkout, sees your number and the order ID, sends the money, and you confirm receipt in the admin before you ship. It is free, it works, and it is how most small Rajshahi sellers start — the trade is that you verify each payment by hand.

The second is a third-party gateway (the local aggregators that bridge bKash, Nagad and cards into Shopify's checkout) which auto-confirms payment but charges a per-transaction fee and usually needs a trade license — worth it once your order count climbs. The third is keeping cash-on-delivery as the default, which a large share of your buyers will still prefer anyway. I set up the combination that matches where your business actually is, not the one that looks best in a brochure.

The other thing I put in writing on the first call is the running cost, because Shopify is a rented platform and that is the real difference from a WooCommerce build. You do not own Shopify the way you own a self-hosted store — you pay a monthly subscription, in US dollars, on your own card, for as long as the store is live, and that is on top of my one-time 50,000 BDT build. I am not going to pretend that away.

What I will do is show you the actual dollar figure for the plan your shop needs before you commit, factor the dollar-to-taka reality into whether Shopify is even the right choice for you, and steer you to WooCommerce instead if your volume does not justify a forever subscription — I would rather lose the Shopify job than sell you a monthly bill you will resent in six months.

When Shopify is right, you get a platform that stays up under an Eid rush, an app ecosystem that lets you grow without a developer for every small thing, and a store polished enough to sell Rajshahi silk to a buyer in London. That is the honest trade, laid out so you decide with the full picture.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions Rajshahi sellers actually ask me before paying the first 50% — answered straight, price and the bKash reality first.

Shopify store Rajshahi-te koto taka? What does it really cost?

My build starts at 50,000 BDT for a working Shopify store — your theme, bKash and Nagad set up the working way, cash-on-delivery, courier-ready address fields for shipping out of Rajshahi, products loaded, and a phone-friendly admin. Common tiers are 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT depending on product range, payment setup and automation; a fully custom build is from 3,00,000 BDT. Terms are 50% advance and 50% on launch. Separate from my fee, Shopify charges its own monthly subscription in US dollars to your card — I show you the real number before you commit so there is no surprise later.

Does Shopify even take bKash and Nagad? I keep hearing it does not work in Bangladesh.

Shopify Payments — the built-in card checkout — is genuinely not available in Bangladesh, so that part is true. But bKash and Nagad absolutely can work on Shopify, just not for free out of the box. I set it up one of two ways: a manual payment method where the buyer pays your bKash or Nagad number with the order ID and you confirm before shipping (free, how most small sellers start), or a third-party gateway that auto-confirms payment for a per-transaction fee once your volume justifies it. Plus cash-on-delivery, which most of your buyers still prefer. Bridging this gap properly is the main thing you are paying me for.

Should I use Shopify or WooCommerce for my Rajshahi store? Be honest.

Honest answer: it depends on your volume and ambition, and I build both so I have no reason to push you either way. Shopify wins if you want it to never break during an Eid or mango rush, you like having apps a tap away, and you are aiming outward — exporting silk, running a clean Instagram shop, looking like a real brand. The cost is a monthly subscription in US dollars, forever.

WooCommerce wins if you want a one-time build with no recurring platform fee and bKash plugged in more cheaply — but you own the upkeep. If you are a small single-product seller doing a handful of orders a week, I will usually steer you to WooCommerce and say so before you pay.

I sell Rajshahi silk and sarees, mostly to buyers in Dhaka. Will a Shopify store reach them?

That is exactly the buyer Shopify suits — someone in Dhaka who has never walked into your shop and decides on the photos. I build a theme that sells cloth: proper close-up images, true colour, weave and length written out, clean colour-and-size variants, and a checkout a Dhaka buyer can finish on their phone in under a minute with bKash. The address form and order export are built for a sender in Rajshahi, so once a Dhaka or Sylhet order comes in it is ready to hand to your courier without retyping. Shopify also looks polished enough that an export buyer in the Gulf or UK takes you seriously.

I ship from Rajshahi all over the country. Will the courier handoff actually work on Shopify?

Yes, and I set it up for a sender outside Dhaka, which most generic Shopify setups ignore. Checkout collects division, district and thana in clean fields, and orders export in a format Pathao, Steadfast and RedX accept for a parcel originating in Rajshahi — your team downloads the day's orders and uploads to the courier portal, which fits how pickup from Rajshahi works on a scheduled run anyway. There are Shopify apps that push orders straight to a courier and update tracking; I add one on the higher tier once your outward volume makes the app fee worth it, not before.

How long until my Rajshahi Shopify store is live, and who actually builds it?

Three to four weeks for the 50,000 BDT tier from the day the 50% advance clears, assuming you send product photos, prices and descriptions in the first week. Week one is theme design, week two your approval and revisions, week three the build, bKash and Nagad setup, courier rates and product loading, then real-device testing and launch. I build it personally start to finish — no junior takes over after the kickoff call, and you reach me directly over WhatsApp, not a ticket queue. That single-operator model is why the price stays honest and the quality holds.
