About the expert
What "development expert" means when most Dhaka Shopify work is just setup
There is a quiet gap in the Dhaka Shopify market that costs store owners real money. On one side you have "setup" people who install a free or ThemeForest theme, paste in your logo, dump your products, and hand over the URL for 10,000-15,000 BDT. On the other side you eventually need actual development: a section that does not exist in any theme, a checkout that talks to bKash and Nagad properly, a courier rate that changes by thana, a bundle offer that a plain theme cannot render. The setup person cannot do that work, so you end up paying twice. This page is for store owners who already know they need the second kind of person.
Being a Shopify store development expert is a different job from being a Shopify user. It means I work in the theme code itself, Liquid templates, sections, blocks, schema, JSON settings, the cart drawer, the checkout extensions where Shopify allows them. It means I know which of your requirements can be solved with twenty lines of code instead of a 15 USD/month app that quietly bills your card forever. Around Gulshan and Banani I keep getting hired to fix stores where a "developer" installed eleven apps to do what good theme code does for free, and the merchant is bleeding 120 USD a month in subscriptions before a single sale.
I run this as a one-person operation on purpose. When you hire a development expert through an agency in Dhaka, the senior name on the proposal is rarely the person opening your theme.liquid at 11pm. Here, the person who scopes your store is the person who writes the code, integrates the payments, and answers your WhatsApp when a variant will not save. There is no project manager translating your request into a ticket and losing half of it in the handoff. That single line of accountability is the whole reason to hire one senior operator instead of a salary stack.
Around five years of building ecommerce for Bangladeshi merchants, much of it in Dhaka, has taught me where Shopify breaks for this market specifically. Shopify out of the box assumes USD, Stripe, card-first buyers and a Western return culture. Dhaka is taka, mobile-first, bKash-and-Nagad-before-card, cash-on-delivery by default, and a buyer who abandons a slow store on patchy 4G without a second thought. Making Shopify feel native to that buyer is development work, not configuration. That is the work I do, and I price it as a flat BDT figure starting at 50,000 BDT so you know the number before you commit.
