Responsive Website Design in Gulshan

Responsive website design in Gulshan that looks right on the cheapest Android and the newest iPhone — because your audience here is holding both.

Gulshan is the one part of Dhaka where your customer might open your site on a 1.5 lakh iPhone over corporate WiFi, while your supplier opens the same page on a 12,000 taka Symphony on 4G. "Responsive" is not a checkbox — it is whether the menu actually taps, the price doesn't wrap into nonsense, and the contact button sits where a thumb can reach it on both. I build responsive website design in Gulshan and test it on real devices before launch, not just the browser resize tool. From 50,000 BDT.

Solo senior designer, ~5 years building Bangladesh sites, tested on real phones, 50% advance / 50% on launch, design-approval guarantee — you sign off on the design before the final payment.

About RH Fardin

Responsive is decided on the phone, not the desktop

Most "responsive" sites in Gulshan were signed off on someone's 27-inch monitor. The designer dragged the browser window narrow, saw nothing obviously break, and called it responsive. Then a real buyer opens it on a 6.1-inch screen at Gulshan 2 circle: the hero text covers the photo, the dropdown menu needs two taps to open and one to misfire, the WhatsApp button hides behind a cookie banner, and the booking form scrolls sideways. That site is not responsive. It is a desktop site that technically loads on a phone. The difference costs you the lead.

I am RH Fardin, a solo senior web designer in Bangladesh with around five years building for Dhaka businesses — and Gulshan clients in particular tend to have the widest device spread of anyone. Foreign-facing offices, NGOs, boutiques, clinics, restaurants near Gulshan Avenue, B2B traders whose customers are on every handset price point. I design and build the site myself: discovery, layout, the actual responsive front-end code, the device testing, the launch. The person who promises it works on every screen is the person who tests it on every screen.

True responsive design is a code problem, not a setting you tick in a page builder. It means fluid layouts that bend instead of snapping at fixed breakpoints, tap targets sized for thumbs and not mouse cursors, type that stays readable without pinch-zoom, and images that load light on 4G so a buyer in a CNG on Gulshan Avenue is not staring at grey boxes. I write the breakpoints around your actual content — where your menu gets crowded, where your pricing table breaks — not around a generic 768px template guess.

Pricing is plain. The floor is 50,000 BDT, with tiers at 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT depending on scope, and fully custom builds from 3,00,000 BDT. 50% advance to start, 50% on launch — and the design-approval guarantee means you don't pay that final half until you've approved the design and seen it behave on your own phone. Not a screenshot. Your phone, your hand, the live site.

What's included

What responsive actually means on a Gulshan site

Six things that decide whether your site works on the phone your Gulshan customer is actually holding — not just on the demo screen.

01

Tested on real phones

Before launch your site is checked on an actual budget Android and an actual iPhone, plus a throttled 4G connection. The resize tool lies; a real handset doesn't.

02

Thumb-reach layout

Call, WhatsApp and book buttons sit in the bottom-thumb zone where one-handed Gulshan buyers can hit them — not buried in a header nobody scrolls back up to.

03

Content-driven breakpoints

Layouts bend where your content actually crowds — a long Bangla heading, a four-column price table — instead of snapping at one generic template width.

04

Fast on 4G

Compressed images and lean code so the page loads quickly on mobile data, not just on Gulshan office fibre. A blank grey screen loses the lead every time.

05

bKash & Nagad flow

Payment instructions and the pay button laid out for a one-handed mobile tap — the way Gulshan customers actually check out, not a desktop checkout squeezed onto a phone.

06

Design-approval guarantee

You approve the design and see it run on your own phone before the final 50% is due. In-scope revisions continue until both the look and the behaviour are right.

In focus

Why Gulshan is the hardest place in Dhaka to get responsive right

Gulshan has the widest device gap of any neighbourhood I build for. In Mirpur or Old Dhaka the audience clusters around mid-range Androids. In Gulshan, the same site has to look premium on a brand-new iPhone Pro over corporate WiFi and stay fully usable for the office assistant, the delivery rider, and the out-of-town supplier opening it on an entry-level handset over patchy 4G. If you design only for the expensive phone, half your traffic gets a broken layout. If you design only for the cheap phone, the site looks plain to the high-value buyer you opened the office in Gulshan to reach. Real responsive design serves both ends of that spread from the same code.

That is why I don't trust a page builder's "mobile preview" or a browser resize as proof of anything. I build the front-end so layouts are genuinely fluid, then I open the live URL on a real budget Android and a real iPhone and physically tap through every menu, form and payment button — including a slow-connection pass that mimics 4G away from WiFi.

Things that look fine on a monitor and fall apart in the hand are exactly where Gulshan sites quietly lose leads: the dropdown that needs a double-tap, the sticky header eating half a small screen, the price table that scrolls off the edge. I find and fix those before launch, because that is the part of "responsive" that actually decides whether the buyer calls you or backs out.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

Straight answers to what Gulshan buyers actually ask about responsive website design — starting with the price.

Responsive website design in Gulshan — koto taka?

The floor is 50,000 BDT. That covers a genuinely responsive, mobile-first site — fluid layouts, thumb-friendly buttons, fast loading on 4G, bKash/Nagad payment flow, and real-device testing before launch, with the design-approval guarantee. Larger scopes sit at 90,000 BDT and 1,50,000 BDT, and fully custom builds start from 3,00,000 BDT. Payment is 50% advance, 50% on launch. If someone in Gulshan quotes you 15,000 taka for a 'responsive' site, you're getting a stretched template that was never tested on a real phone.

Isn't every modern website already responsive?

Technically yes, practically no. Almost every template claims to be responsive, but 'loads on a phone' and 'usable on a phone' are different things. The menu that needs two taps, the form that scrolls sideways, the price covered by a sticky header, the image that takes nine seconds on 4G — all of that passes the 'responsive' label and still loses the lead. Real responsive design is tested on actual handsets and fixed where it breaks. That hands-on testing pass is what most cheap Gulshan quotes skip.

Which devices do you actually test the Gulshan site on?

A real budget Android and a real iPhone at minimum — the two ends of the device spread your Gulshan audience uses — plus a throttled-connection pass to mimic 4G away from office WiFi. I tap through every menu, form, call button and payment step by hand. I don't rely on the browser resize tool or a page builder's mobile preview, because both lie about how the site behaves in a real hand.

Will the bKash and Nagad payment step work on mobile?

Yes — and it's tested on mobile specifically, because that's where almost all Gulshan customers will pay. On the 50,000 BDT tier I set up a clean bKash/Nagad payment-info section with a one-tap pay button and a confirmation flow (form or WhatsApp), all sized for one-handed use. If you need full automated checkout with order management, that's the 1,50,000 BDT tier — at which point you're running a real store, and yes, the whole checkout is tested on a phone too.

My current Gulshan site looks broken on phones — can you fix it or do I need a new one?

It depends on what it's built on. Sometimes the responsive problems are fixable — bad breakpoints, oversized images, broken menu behaviour — and I can repair those without a full rebuild. But if it's a heavy template stuffed with plugins or built desktop-first, patching it costs more than it's worth and still feels held together with tape. I'll look at the live site on a real phone, tell you honestly which it is, and quote the cheaper honest option — not the one that bills more.

Who builds and tests it — you, or a junior?

Me, start to finish. I'm RH Fardin, a solo senior designer — the discovery call, the design, the responsive front-end code, and the real-device testing are all done by one person. No junior practising on your homepage, no 'resource' assigned to your account. With responsive work especially that matters, because the person who promises it works on every screen has to be the same person physically tapping through it on those screens.
