A Banani agency quoted 90,000 BDT. A Dhanmondi software house asked 2,40,000 BDT, and a foreign-facing agency in Gulshan 1 wanted 6,50,000 BDT. Same scope, same product catalogue, same payment gateway.
That spread tells you something important. In this city, most of what you pay for is not the store. It is the overhead and the guesswork.

The honest 'koto taka?' answer depends on six things. Most Gulshan agencies won't tell you which one is pushing your quote up. First is product count. Going from 25 SKUs to 500 is not just data entry. It means filters, search, image tuning and stock rules. Second is payment gateways. A bKash personal merchant account works very differently from a full SSLCommerz setup with card, Nagad and bank-transfer backup. The second takes more setup days.
Third is courier setup. Pathao and Steadfast both have proper APIs now, and RedX is workable. Choosing two of them with automatic label printing is about a day of work that nobody quotes for separately. Fourth is the kind of buyer you design for. A Gulshan-based brand selling to Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara customers can lean premium and slower on the homepage. A brand selling nationally has to load on a 3-bar Robi connection in Rangpur and convert in three taps.
That one choice changes the homepage layout, image weight and product page length. It can swing the build by 20,000 BDT. Fifth is how ready your content is. If you give me clean product photos, written descriptions and prices in a spreadsheet, you stay inside your tier. If you want me to write copy, retouch photos and source lifestyle images, that is a separate line item. I quote it up front and never bury it.
Sixth is what happens after launch. A one-time build at 50,000 BDT does not include monthly changes. You may want someone to add new collections, push Eid campaigns and patch things every month. That is a small monthly fee on top, and I tell you the number before you sign.

In Dhaka, 20,000 BDT usually means a free Shopify trial with someone else's stolen theme. There is no bKash setup and no SSL beyond Cloudflare's free tier. And the person often disappears the day after you pay. My 50,000 BDT floor exists because below that, I cannot add proper payments and courier APIs and still give the store the design time it needs. If your budget is truly under that, I will tell you honestly on the call and point you elsewhere.
No. bKash personal or merchant checkout, Nagad, SSLCommerz card payments and Pathao or Steadfast courier setup come with every tier from 50,000 BDT up. The only extra cost is the per-transaction fee that bKash, Nagad and SSLCommerz charge. That money goes to them, not to me.
Yes. I price the scope of the store, not your postcode. A Gulshan brand and a Mirpur brand pay the same 50,000, 90,000 or 1,50,000 BDT for the same scope. The only Gulshan-specific thing is style. I sometimes suggest a heavier visual look, because buyers in this area expect a more premium feel. But that does not push you into a higher tier.
You pay 50% in advance to start the design phase, and 50% on launch day before the store goes live. You can pay by bKash merchant transfer or bank transfer to a Bangladeshi business account. Larger custom builds can use a milestone-based bank schedule. No retainer, no auto-billing, and no foreign-currency invoices unless you need one.
Domain and hosting are extra, at about 8,000 to 15,000 BDT a year. You pay the provider directly, so I don't mark it up. Gateway fees, premium stock photos and professional product photography are also extra. So is copywriting, if you cannot supply product descriptions, and any monthly changes after launch. All of these are optional and clearly priced. We discuss them before you pay the advance, and nothing gets added later.
