Honest cheap Shopify in Dhaka

The dollar bill is what kills cheap Shopify stores in Dhaka, not the build fee

You are running a Facebook page out of Mirpur or Uttara, doing 30 to 60 orders a month in the comments and DMs, and you have decided it is time for a real store. So you search "low cost Shopify store development in Dhaka" and a dozen people quote you 10,000 to 18,000 taka. The quote never mentions that Shopify charges 29 USD every month, in dollars, on an international card most small Dhaka sellers do not have. That is the trap, and the cheap build walks you straight into it.

I build these stores myself. Every cheap Shopify project at 50,000 BDT is designed by me, built by me, and tested on a real mid-range Android over Dhaka mobile data before it reaches you. Around five years of building stores for Bangladeshi sellers means the first thing I do is not pick a theme, it is sit with you on the dollar question: do you have a card that bills in USD, or do we set you up so the subscription does not become a monthly panic on the 14th when the trial ends.

The 50,000 BDT scope is deliberately tight because that is what keeps it honest. You get a paid or well-customised free theme, up to roughly 30 products loaded with BDT prices and variants, COD plus a clear bKash/Nagad instruction flow, shipping zones for inside-Dhaka and outside-Dhaka, a Messenger fallback for buyers who want to ask before they pay, and a one-hour training call so you run it from your phone. No paid apps you cannot afford. No upsell hidden until after the advance clears.

If your catalogue is 200 SKUs, or you need a real B2B portal, or courier APIs syncing automatically, I will tell you on the first call that you want the 90,000 or 1,50,000 BDT tier, or that custom from 3,00,000 BDT is the truthful answer. I would rather lose the project than hand a Kazipara start-up a store that bleeds dollars every month it cannot fund.

What's included

What 50,000 BDT actually buys on Shopify in Dhaka

Six things in the low-cost tier that a Mirpur or Uttara seller almost never gets from an 18,000-taka "Shopify setup" on Facebook.

01

Dollar bill planned first

Before the build, we settle how the 29 USD/month Shopify charge gets paid in Dhaka, since most small sellers have no USD card. I will tell you the card-vs-virtual-card options honestly, or talk you onto WooCommerce if the dollar fee makes no sense for you yet.

02

bKash/Nagad checkout

Shopify Payments does not work in Bangladesh, so I set up manual payment plus a clear bKash/Nagad flow that shows your merchant number at the right moment. COD stays the default, the way Dhaka buyers actually order.

03

Tested on real phones

The store is checked on a real mid-range Android over GP/Robi data, not just my desktop. Images compressed, fonts loaded fast, tap targets sized for a thumb so a buyer in Mirpur traffic finishes checkout instead of bouncing.

04

Products loaded for you

Up to about 30 of your real products loaded with photos, BDT prices, variants and stock counts before launch. You open the store to a working shop, not an empty Shopify trial you have to fill at midnight.

05

Inside/outside Dhaka shipping

Shipping zones set for inside Dhaka, outside Dhaka and rest of Bangladesh at your rates, with Pathao, Steadfast, RedX or Sundarban named in the order email so buyers know exactly what delivery costs and when.

06

You hold the keys

You sign up the Shopify account in your own name and card, I configure inside it, then hand over the login and a one-hour training. No retainer, no gatekeeping, no part of the store I keep control of.

In focus

Why "cheap Shopify" in Dhaka is a USD problem before it is a design problem

When you ask "Shopify store er cost koto?" in a Dhaka seller group, everyone answers in taka and nobody answers in dollars, which is exactly backwards. The one-time build fee is the part you only pay once. The part that recurs is Shopify's 29 USD per month on the Basic plan, roughly 3,500 BDT, charged to an international card in dollars every single month whether you sold anything or not. For a Gulshan brand with a corporate card this is nothing.

For a small seller in Mirpur, Kazipara or Uttara graduating off a Facebook page, this is the real obstacle, because most of them simply do not own a card that bills in USD. An 18,000-taka "Shopify expert" sets up the store, the 3-day trial ends, the dollar charge fails or drains a borrowed card, and the brand-new store goes dark in week two.

My cheap tier at 50,000 BDT is built around that reality first. On the discovery call we decide the dollar question before we touch a theme: whether you have a usable USD card, whether a virtual dollar card from a Bangladeshi bank or fintech is the right move, or whether your order volume is honestly too low to justify Shopify's monthly fee at all, in which case I will tell you WooCommerce is the cheaper home and build you that instead, no hard feelings and no lost commission.

If Shopify is genuinely right for you, I keep the build lean on purpose: no paid apps unless you need and can fund them, Shopify's own tools for discounts, shipping and inventory, and bKash/Nagad checkout instructions written so a buyer in Bangla-first Dhaka knows exactly which number to send to and what reference to put. The cheap part is the build fee. The smart part is making sure the dollar bill never turns your shiny new store into a 50,000-taka mistake.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions Dhaka sellers actually ask me before paying for a low-cost Shopify build.

Cheap Shopify store development in Dhaka — koto taka lagbe?

My low-cost Shopify tier starts at 50,000 BDT, one-time, paid 50% advance and 50% on launch. That covers theme setup, up to about 30 products loaded, inside/outside-Dhaka shipping zones, COD plus a bKash/Nagad instruction flow, and a live launch on your domain with a training call. Separately, you pay Shopify directly, 29 USD/month for Basic, in dollars on an international card. That subscription is yours, not mine. Want a custom theme, courier APIs or B2B features? The next tiers are 90,000 BDT, 1,50,000 BDT, or custom from 3,00,000 BDT.

How do I pay Shopify's monthly fee in Dhaka if I don't have a dollar card?

This is the question almost nobody asks before they buy, and it is why so many cheap Dhaka Shopify stores die in week two. Shopify bills 29 USD/month on an international card; bKash and Nagad cannot pay it directly. On our first call we sort this out honestly: you use an existing USD card, or you get a virtual dollar card from a Bangladeshi bank or fintech, or, if your volume is too low to justify the dollar fee, I tell you straight that WooCommerce is the smarter home for now and build you that instead. I will not sell you a Shopify store you cannot keep funding.

Why does "cheap" still start at 50,000 BDT when others quote 15,000 in Dhaka?

Because at 15,000 BDT the only way to survive is to copy a free theme, drop three products on it, and vanish. I build every project personally and spend about two weeks per Shopify launch: product loading, mobile testing on a real Dhaka phone, payment and shipping configuration, the dollar-bill conversation, and a training call. 50,000 BDT is the lowest fee where I can still do that work properly. Below it, you are buying a problem, not a store.

Does Shopify Payments or bKash work natively in my Dhaka store?

Shopify Payments is not available in Bangladesh, so card checkout through Shopify's own gateway is off the table, and bKash/Nagad do not plug into the standard checkout as native gateways either. What I set up instead: COD as the default, manual bank transfer, and a clear bKash/Nagad flow that shows your merchant number after the buyer places the order. If you later want automated card payment, SSLCommerz or Aamarpay can be layered on as a separate add-on, not part of the cheap tier.

I sell from a Facebook page in Mirpur now — is a cheap Shopify store worth it?

If you are losing orders in DMs, repeating prices fifty times a day, and cannot scale past a few dozen orders a month, a real store helps. But be honest about volume first. If Shopify's 29 USD/month fee is heavier than the orders justify, I will tell you so and build you a cheaper WooCommerce store, or even just a clean catalogue site, instead. If you are ready to grow and can fund the dollar bill, the 50,000 BDT Shopify build gives you a proper checkout, COD, bKash/Nagad and a store you run from your phone.

Who owns the store, and what if I want to leave you later?

You do. You sign up the Shopify account with your own email and card, I configure everything inside it, then hand over the login plus a one-hour training. After launch you can run it forever without ever talking to me again. No monthly retainer, no agency-style lock-in, no part of the store I quietly keep control over. The design-approval guarantee also means you do not pay the second 50% until the design is right.
