Why hotel website design is its own problem in BD
A guest is not buying your room. She is buying whether she believes the photo.
Here is the moment that decides a booking. It is 11pm, a woman in Uttara is planning two nights in Cox's Bazar, and she has your hotel website open on her phone next to two others. She is about to send a stranger a 2,000 BDT advance on bKash for a room she has never stood in. The only thing she has to go on is the design in front of her.
If your hero image is a dim, tilted photo someone took in 2018, if the logo is stretched, if the rate is hidden behind a contact form and three fonts are fighting on one screen, her gut says 'this feels dodgy' and she is gone. Not because your hotel is bad. Because the design failed the trust test in four seconds.
That is the part most hotel website design in BD gets backwards. Owners ask for a slider, an 'about us' essay, a guestbook nobody reads. What actually moves a booking is the opposite: one full-bleed photo of the real room or the real view, the rate in BDT visible without scrolling, a clean line of trust signals, and a Reserve button that does not make her hunt. Design here is not decoration. It is the thing that convinces a person to wire money to someone she has never met, which is genuinely what a hotel asks every single guest to do.
So when I design a hotel website, I treat your photos as the product and everything else as the frame. I crop and grade your room and property shots so a 4,000 BDT sea-view room actually looks like 4,000 BDT and not like a guesthouse. I set type that reads instantly on a mid-range Android, give the rate and the bKash-deposit booking pride of place, and cut everything that does not help her decide.
Cleaner is not 'minimal for the sake of it' - on a hotel site, clutter reads as 'amateur,' and amateur reads as 'risky to prepay.' I also keep it fast, because a beautiful page that loads in nine seconds on a Robi connection in Sylhet is a page she never sees.
I am RH Fardin. I work alone, I am based in Bangladesh, and I do not subcontract your project to a junior the day after you sign. The person who designs your hotel site is the person you brief on the call and the person who ships it. That is how I keep hotel web design in BD honest at a 50,000 BDT floor and still hand you something a stranger trusts enough to book - design first, approved on screen before a single line of code is written.
