Freelance Web App Developer BD

You don't need an agency for a custom web app — you need one senior freelancer who actually writes the code.

I'm RH Fardin. I design, build and deploy custom web applications for Bangladeshi founders, small SaaS teams, and operations-heavy businesses. No PM, no junior intern fumbling your database, no Trello board you'll never look at. You message me on WhatsApp, I scope it, I quote it, I build it, you launch.

Solo senior freelancer. ~5 years shipping web apps. Custom builds from 50,000 BDT. 50% advance via bKash/Nagad/bank, 50% on launch.

Why founders in BD hire one freelancer instead of an agency

Most agency horror stories in Bangladesh sound the same. You meet the polished founder in a Gulshan cafe, sign the contract, then for the next four months you're emailing a junior who copy-pastes status updates and quietly ships a WordPress theme with custom fields when you asked for a proper web application. By the time the bug list grows, the senior person who pitched you is on three other projects. As a freelance web app developer in BD, I'm the only person on your project. The voice on the call, the hands on the code, the one who fixes the 2am bug — same person.

I work best with founders who have a real operational problem: a delivery business juggling 40 riders in Excel, a clinic chasing follow-ups on paper, a B2B distributor whose stockists still WhatsApp orders one by one, a coaching center where attendance is on a whiteboard. These are not 'websites'. These are web apps with roles, permissions, dashboards, exports, SMS or bKash payment hooks, and a daily user. I scope the workflow first, then write the code — not the other way around.

The stack is boring on purpose: React or Next.js on the front, Node.js or PHP/Laravel on the back, MySQL or Postgres for data, deployed somewhere you can actually SSH into. Nothing is hosted on my personal account 'temporarily' so you stay locked in. Domain, hosting, database, repository — all in your name from day one. If you ever fire me, the next developer opens GitHub and gets to work.

I take roughly one or two web app projects at a time, which is why a small custom build (admin panel + 2-3 user roles + dashboard) starts at 50,000 BDT and a serious multi-module application starts at 3,00,000 BDT. The cheap quotes you'll see on Facebook freelance groups are usually a copy of someone's old Bootstrap template with a 'login' form bolted on. That's not a web app. That's a website with a password.

What's included

What you actually get when you hire me as your freelance web app developer

Not features off a brochure — the things that decide whether your web app lives past month three.

01

One senior on the keyboard

The person you spoke to on the discovery call is the same person writing your authentication logic. Nothing is handed off to a junior in another room.

02

Workflow-first scoping

Before a line of code, I map your roles, screens, and the 4-5 actions that actually drive your business. The app is built around your real workflow, not a generic CRM template.

03

BD payment & SMS ready

bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz, and local SMS gateways (Alpha SMS, BulkSMSBD) integrated properly with webhook handling — not a fake button that just records an order.

04

Your code, your accounts

GitHub repo, domain, hosting, database credentials — all under your name and email from day one. If you switch developers next year, nothing is held hostage.

05

Honest timelines on WhatsApp

I work in 1-2 week sprints with a Loom video at the end of each. If something is going to slip, you hear about it on Tuesday, not on the day it's due.

06

Built to be maintained

Clean folder structure, comments where they matter, a written README, and a small handover doc explaining where every business rule lives. Future-you (or the next developer) won't curse the original architect.

In focus

Freelancer or agency: how to actually choose for a web app project in BD

The honest answer is: it depends on the size of the project. For a custom web application with 2-6 user roles, one or two integrations, and a dashboard — basically anything that fits in a single founder's head — a senior freelancer is faster, cheaper, and far less likely to ghost you mid-build. There's no project manager skimming 30 percent off the budget, no weekly status meeting that exists only to justify itself, and no junior learning React on your bill. The bottleneck becomes my actual capacity, which is why I openly tell people I only take one or two web app builds at a time. If I'm full, I say so on the WhatsApp call.

Where you genuinely need an agency is when you have a 12-month enterprise build with three concurrent teams, a security audit, a procurement process, and someone whose full-time job is filing TIN-linked invoices. That's not most Bangladeshi SMEs and startups. Most of you have a real but contained problem: an order-management dashboard for your wholesale business, a tutor-matching portal, a school admin panel, a job board, a B2B inventory app, an internal HR tool.

For that, one senior freelance web app developer who writes the code, deploys it, and answers your WhatsApp on Friday night is the right shape of help. The 50,000 BDT starting floor reflects the smallest sensible web app I'll build — anything cheaper is either a brochure site in disguise or a project I know will end badly.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

Real questions I get on WhatsApp before someone hires me as their freelance web app developer.

Freelance web app developer BD — koto taka?

A small custom web app (admin login, 2-3 user roles, dashboard, basic reporting) starts at 50,000 BDT. A more serious build (multiple modules, role-based permissions, payment integration, SMS hooks) usually lands at 90,000 BDT or 1,50,000 BDT. A full custom multi-module application — think internal ERP, marketplace, multi-tenant SaaS — starts at 3,00,000 BDT and is quoted after a proper scoping call. Terms are 50% advance, 50% on launch, paid via bKash, Nagad, or bank transfer.

What's actually the difference between a website and a web app?

A website mostly shows information — services, about, blog. A web app has users who log in and do work: place orders, assign jobs, approve leaves, view a dashboard of their own data. If your project needs login, roles, a database that updates daily, and reports — you need a web app developer, not a website designer. I do both, but I price and scope them very differently.

Will you build it on WordPress?

Usually no. WordPress is wonderful for content-heavy sites and small WooCommerce stores, but for a real multi-role web app it becomes a maintenance nightmare around year two. I default to React or Next.js on the front and Node.js or Laravel on the back. If you have a strong reason to stay on WordPress — for example, your existing team already manages content there — I'll tell you honestly whether it's a good fit.

Can you integrate bKash, Nagad and SSLCommerz?

Yes. I've done bKash Tokenized Checkout, Nagad merchant payments, and SSLCommerz integrations on multiple builds. I handle the webhook properly so failed/cancelled transactions don't leave dangling orders, and I always test with the sandbox first before pushing to live. You provide the merchant credentials — I never use my own account for client transactions.

How long does a typical web app take?

A small build (50,000 BDT tier) usually takes 3-4 weeks. A mid-size build (90,000 to 1,50,000 BDT) is 6-10 weeks. A full custom application from 3,00,000 BDT is typically 3-5 months, broken into 1-2 week sprints with a video update at the end of each. I don't quote 'one week MVP' because that's almost always a lie that hurts the client later.

What happens if I want to hire someone else later?

You walk away with everything. The GitHub repo is under your account, the domain and hosting are in your name, the database and credentials are yours, and there's a written handover doc that explains the codebase structure and business logic. No one-developer lock-in. I'd rather you stay because the work is good, not because you can't escape.
