About the work
What a real Facebook marketing expert does that a 'boost boy' never will
In Dhaka, 'Facebook marketing expert' has been stretched until it means almost nothing. The cousin who runs your page is an expert. The 8,000-taka-a-month boy who boosts three posts a week is an expert. The agency in Banani that sends you a monthly screenshot of '5 lakh reach' is, apparently, also an expert. So when a Gulshan or Dhanmondi business owner finally searches for a facebook marketing expert in Dhaka, the real question underneath isn't 'who can run ads' — it's 'who will actually be accountable for whether orders come in, and who knows the difference between boosting a post and running a conversion campaign?'
Those are not the same thing, and the gap is most of why budgets get burned here. Boosting a post optimises for likes and comments — cheap engagement that looks busy and sells nothing. A proper campaign in Ads Manager optimises for the action you actually care about: a WhatsApp message, a call, a form fill, a checkout.
That requires a Meta Pixel and the Conversions API wired correctly so Facebook can see what happened after the click, audiences built from your real buyers and lookalikes off them, and creative tested against creative until something works — not one boosted photo and hope. The 'expert' who can't explain CAPI, attribution windows or why your cost-per-result moved is just a person with access to your boost budget.
I do this work myself, start to finish. The person who studies your numbers — koto taka per lead, which creative pulls, which audience converts — is the same person who writes the ad copy in Bangla and English, builds the campaign structure, and watches it daily. No senior name on the proposal and a fresh junior actually touching your money. I'll sit with you in Gulshan or Banani, or on a call, look at what you've spent so far and what came back, and tell you honestly whether Facebook is even your problem — sometimes the ads are fine and the landing page or the reply speed is what's killing the sale.
About five years of buying Meta ads for Dhaka businesses — fashion and lifestyle brands, restaurants and cloud kitchens, local services, a few B2B — has taught me where the money leaks: no Pixel, so Facebook is optimising blind; one ad running for two months until it's exhausted; a 'reach' obsession instead of a cost-per-order one; and ad spend reported as if it were the agency fee.
If your monthly ad budget is genuinely under 20,000–30,000 taka, hiring a senior expert may not pay for itself yet, and I'll tell you so. When there's real budget moving and it's not converting, that's exactly the problem worth a 50,000 BDT engagement — and the 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT ladder lets you start where you are and scale the work as the spend and the stakes grow.
