The 'Boost Post' button is the most expensive piece of design Meta has shipped in Bangladesh. It looks like marketing. You put in 5,000 taka and get reach numbers and reactions. Your cousin even congratulates you on the views. But by default, Boost Post only optimises for Page Engagement. It finds people who like to react and comment, not people who open their bKash app and buy.
After six months and a few lakh taka, the page has 40,000 followers. And the order book is empty.
