Why custom software pricing in Bangladesh feels like a guessing game — and how I quote
The same internal CRM brief in Bangladesh comes back at 1,20,000 BDT from one vendor and 18,00,000 BDT from another. Both quotes are for the 'same thing'. The reason is simple: most local software houses guess your budget from your industry and your office address, then write a number that survives a 30% negotiation. The scope gets backfilled later.
I work the other way around. We sit down for a discovery call, list the exact modules — login, dashboard, the three or four workflows that matter, reports, exports — and I price each one. You see what every feature costs in BDT before you pay a taka. If the budget is tight, we cut scope, not corners. If you need something more ambitious, I tell you straight that it's a custom build starting at 3,00,000 BDT, not a 50,000 BDT job.
I have around five years building web platforms, internal tools, dashboards, booking systems and inventory software for Bangladeshi businesses. I write the code, design the UI, set up the server, and hand over the admin panel. No project manager forwarding messages, no junior 'team member' learning on your build.
Payment terms are the same for everyone: 50% to start, 50% on launch — bKash, Nagad, or bank transfer. If you reject the design at the approval stage, I redo it until you sign off. That's the design-approval guarantee, written into every quote.
