About RH Fardin
The expensive redesign mistake in Rajshahi is fixing the wrong thing beautifully
A Rajshahi business owner came to me convinced his site needed a complete visual overhaul. It looked dated, sure. But when I actually opened it on a throttled mobile connection — the kind you get out past Talaimari, not on office wifi — the homepage took nine seconds to become usable. That was the real problem. A buyer searching on their phone had already backed out and tapped a competitor before his lovely-but-heavy banner even finished loading.
If he had paid a reskin shop to make it prettier, the new site would have looked great and still lost the same customers, because nobody asked why it was failing in the first place. That is the difference an expert makes: a designer makes it look new, an expert finds out why the old one stopped working and rebuilds around that answer. Spending 50,000 taka to fix the wrong thing beautifully is the most common — and most expensive — redesign mistake I see in this city.
I am RH Fardin, a solo senior web designer and developer based in Bangladesh, and for roughly five years a large share of my work has been redesigns rather than first builds — because established Rajshahi businesses almost always already have a site, they just have one that has quietly stopped earning its keep.
I have rebuilt for the firms this city actually runs on: silk and clothing showrooms whose old site made hand-woven Rajshahi silk look like cheap goods, mango traders and orchard exporters whose web presence goes stale ten months of the year, coaching centres and admission institutes feeding off Rajshahi University, RUET and the medical college, clinics and diagnostic chambers around Laxmipur and the Medical area, and shops along Shaheb Bazar and New Market selling to buyers who pay by bKash and Nagad.
The diagnosis, the redesign, the rebuild, the SEO migration, the speed pass, the relaunch — all of it is me. No junior is handed your account, no white-label partner does the real work behind a logo.
Being the website redesign expert someone hires rather than a company they sign a contract with is the whole point. When you hire an expert, you are paying for a single accountable judgement: what to keep, what to scrap, what is actually broken, and what only looks broken. A redesign starts at 50,000 BDT for a full visual rebuild, a mobile-first layout, on-page SEO carried over cleanly, and bKash and Nagad handling set up the way Rajshahi buyers really pay.
The 90,000 and 1,50,000 BDT tiers add booking, ecommerce, more pages, or a separate Bangla and English build — without ever changing who is at the keyboard. Fully custom rebuilds start from 3,00,000 BDT. I will tell you on the call which tier genuinely fits, not which one pads the invoice.
I work on 50 percent advance and 50 percent on launch, and the design-approval guarantee carries extra weight on a redesign. You already live with the old site every day, so you have strong, specific opinions about what the new one should feel like — and you should. I keep iterating on the visual direction, within scope, until you genuinely say it is right, and the final 50 percent is not due until you do.
The one thing I will not do is the careless move that quietly wrecks redesigns around Rajshahi: chasing a prettier layout while throwing away the URLs and the search rankings your old site spent years earning. I preserve what ranks, redirect what moves, and relaunch in a way that protects the visibility you paid for in time, not taka.
