The visible part of a redesign is the new look — fonts, colors, hero section, a homepage that doesn't have three sliders fighting each other. That's the easy half. The hard half, and the half most redesign companies in Bangladesh quietly skip, is the migration. Your old site has pages indexed by Google. Each of those pages is a URL like example.com.bd/services/web-design-dhaka. A lazy redesign keeps the design promise and silently changes that URL to /service/web-design-dhaka — note the missing 's'. Google now sees a 404. Your ranking dies. Three months later you message me asking why traffic dropped after the new site launched.
I treat the URL list as the most important file in the project. Before any new design goes live, I export every indexed page from Search Console, every backlinked URL from Ahrefs or a free alternative, every internal link on the old site. I map each one to its new home — sometimes the same URL, sometimes a redirect to a better page. The redirect rules go into the server config before launch, not after. On day one of the new site, an old visitor clicking a three-year-old link from a Facebook post lands exactly where they expect. That single step is what separates a redesign that grows your traffic from one that quietly torches it.

I handle 301 redirects for every existing URL, keep your internal linking intact, and resubmit a fresh sitemap on launch day. Most clients see rankings hold steady within a week and improve over the following 6-8 weeks because the new site is faster.
Yes. I build the new site on a staging subdomain — staging.yoursite.com.bd — that's password protected so customers and Google can't see it. You preview, test on your phone, give feedback, and we polish until it's right. Cutover happens during a quiet window (late night or weekend), usually 30-60 minutes of brief downtime while DNS propagates. Your existing site keeps running until then.
Yes — this comes up almost weekly. If you have domain control, I can scrape your old site's content, screenshot the design, and rebuild on fresh hosting under your own account. If you've also lost the domain registrar login, we recover it through the registrar's identity verification before starting. You'll end up owning every login by the time the new site goes live.
Hosting — often yes, because the cheap Bangladeshi shared hosting most older sites sit on is what's making them slow. I'll recommend a hosting provider (sometimes a BD provider, often an international one with a Singapore data center for low latency to Dhaka) and migrate everything for you. Domain — no, your .com or .com.bd stays the same. We keep your existing email setup intact during migration.
A standard business site redesign takes 3-4 weeks from advance payment: roughly one week of audit and design, two weeks of build and content migration, a few days of testing and launch. Larger redesigns with ecommerce or membership systems run 5-7 weeks. Speed depends partly on how quickly you reply to feedback rounds — clients on WhatsApp who answer within a day finish noticeably faster than ones I have to chase.
