Pricing, Not Sales Theatre
Why the same 'website' costs 15,000 or 5,00,000 in Dhanmondi
Walk into any cafe on Road 27 with the question 'website koto taka?' and you will get five different numbers from five different freelancers within an hour. That isn't because the market is dishonest — it's because nobody agrees on what the word 'website' means. A 15,000 BDT site usually means a free WordPress theme installed by someone learning on your project. A 5,00,000 BDT site usually means an agency with 12 staff billing their meeting time. Neither of those is what most Dhanmondi businesses actually need.
I'm RH Fardin, a solo website designer and developer in Bangladesh. I publish my pricing publicly because hiding it wastes everybody's time. The floor for a real, custom-designed, mobile-first business website from me is 50,000 BDT. Below that number, you are paying for a template someone copy-pasted — not design work, not strategy, not testing, not a person who picks up the phone six months later.
What changes the number above 50,000 is mostly content depth and functionality. A Dhanmondi dental clinic with a homepage, services, doctor profiles, appointment form and a blog sits comfortably in the 90,000 tier. A boutique on Satmasjid Road that wants product listings, bKash and Nagad checkout, COD logic and Pathao courier integration moves into the 1,50,000 tier. Anything truly custom — booking systems, member portals, multi-vendor logic — starts at 3,00,000 BDT and gets quoted after a proper scoping conversation.
Payment is 50% advance, 50% on launch, paid by bKash, Nagad or bank transfer. There is no surprise invoice at handover, no 'platform fee' tacked on, no monthly retainer hidden in the contract. If the design doesn't get your written approval before development starts, you don't pay the rest. That guarantee is the entire reason I can charge what I charge — I only get the second half if the work is genuinely good.
