Web App Pricing in Dhaka
Why most quotes you've received are wrong
If you've called four agencies in Banani and Gulshan asking 'web application banate koto taka lagbe?', you've probably gotten four answers between 80,000 BDT and 25,00,000 BDT for the same brief. That isn't because anyone is lying. It's because most teams quote the project they wish you wanted, not the one you described. A web application is not a website. The price reflects logic, not pages.
I've been building web applications for clients in Dhaka and abroad for around five years, working solo as a senior designer and developer. Every quote I send is broken down by user role, by database table, by integration, by admin panel screen. If a feature gets cut after the kick-off, the price comes down. If you add a new dashboard view in week three, you see exactly what it adds. No 'change request' theatre.
For pure marketing websites, my floor is 50,000 BDT and the tiers are 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT. Custom builds, which is what most web applications are, start at 3,00,000 BDT. That floor exists because the cheapest honest web app, a single-tenant tool with one user role, a database, authentication, an admin panel, and proper hosting, takes me at least four weeks of focused senior work. Anything cheaper is either a template with a login form glued on or a junior on Fiverr who will disappear after handover.
Payment is 50% advance, 50% on launch. No surprise charges, no per-page upcharge for 'mobile responsive', no 'SEO package' bolted on at the end. The design-approval guarantee means if you don't approve the design direction in the first two rounds, I refund the advance. That's the most expensive promise a solo developer can make, which is why I make it.
