What "company" really means for SEO in a city this size
Rajshahi does not have an SEO industry — it has a handful of Facebook pages and a few absentee Dhaka firms
Start with an honest observation about this market: there is no real depth of SEO companies in Rajshahi. Search for one and you find a thin layer of Facebook pages that resell post boosts under the word "agency," a couple of generalist IT shops where SEO is a checkbox on a longer service list, and Dhaka firms happy to take a Rajshahi client by phone and then forget them.
For a buyer who genuinely wants a search-engine optimization company — one that will own rankings, not just send invoices — the choice is unexpectedly bare. That sounds like bad news. It is actually the opportunity, because the same thinness exists in the Google results your customers see, and almost nobody local is competing to claim it.
Think about who actually buys here and how they decide. Rajshahi is, before anything else, an education city — Rajshahi University, RUET, the medical and the engineering colleges, a dense ring of coaching and admission-prep centres, hostels and messes, a serious book and stationery trade around Saheb Bazar and New Market, and the libraries and exam-prep economy that follows tens of thousands of students. On top of that sits the older trade backbone: Sopura and BSCIC silk, summer mango shipped nationwide, clinics and diagnostic chambers, contractors and showrooms.
What these buyers share is research behaviour. A parent choosing a coaching centre, a student picking a hostel, a wholesaler vetting a silk supplier, a patient comparing clinics — they do not impulse-buy off a boosted post. They open Google, they read, they compare, and then they call. If you are not in those results, you are not in the decision.
I run this as one accountable senior on purpose, and for SEO that is the whole value, not a caveat. The person who quotes you is the person who pulls your Search Console data, rewrites your title tags, fixes the technical errors in your WordPress or code, sets up and optimises your Google Business Profile, briefs or writes the content, and sends the monthly summary.
There is no account manager relaying your questions to a back room you cannot see, no intern keyword-stuffing your pages while a senior takes the credit on the sales call. When a key page slides from position 5 to 12 after a Google update, you message me on WhatsApp and I open your account that day — you do not file a ticket with a Dhaka office and wait a week for them to remember Rajshahi exists.
Around five years into SEO and Google Ads for Bangladeshi and overseas brands, I keep the client list small so each one gets that.
I will also tell you what I am not, because in a market that sells everything as a bundle, saying no is rare. I am not a registered tower with a team photo on the wall, and if that signal matters more to you than the work, I am the wrong call.
I will tell you on the first conversation if your real problem is a slow, template site no amount of ranking can rescue, or if Google Ads would bring leads faster for your situation — which matters a lot for a seasonal trade like mango that cannot wait six months for organic to mature. I will not promise page one in thirty days, because Google's own guidelines flag that as a warning sign.
What you get instead is an honest timeline, a fixed and written price, and one name on the entire job — mine.
