Here is what actually happens. In month one, the agency submits your site to 50 dead directories. In month two, it writes a few blog posts with AI. By month four, you are politely asked to be patient because 'SEO takes time'. A year later you cancel. You have paid 60,000 to 1,80,000 BDT for traffic one well-written page could have brought you.
Proper SEO in Bangladesh means more upfront work and less ongoing busywork. The first 60 to 90 days are heavy. They cover a real audit, a keyword map for your category, on-page fixes across every important URL, technical cleanup and a content plan.
After that, the monthly retainer is mostly content writing, link outreach, conversion improvements and tracking. You can actually see traffic and rankings climb in Search Console. Monthly retainers, when ongoing content and links make sense, usually run 60,000 to 1,50,000 BDT a month. The exact figure depends on how competitive your category is and how much writing is included. Larger custom campaigns start from 3,00,000 BDT. I do not sell 5,000 BDT a month 'SEO packages'. They do not work, and I will not pretend otherwise.
For low-competition local searches, like your area plus your service, I have seen rankings move in 6 to 10 weeks once on-page and technical issues are fixed. Competitive national searches in Dhaka take longer. Think 'website design company', 'real estate Dhaka' or 'best laptop shop'. Those realistically need 4 to 9 months of steady work. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is selling a trick that gets sites penalised.
Both, and I plan them separately. A lot of BD search volume is in English, especially from buyers ready to spend. But a growing share is in Bangla and Banglish, mainly for product searches, recipes, education and news. I split the keyword map by language.
