Online Store Development in Bangladesh

Online store development in Bangladesh that handles bKash, Nagad, cash on delivery and a courier API on day one.

I am RH Fardin. I personally design, build and launch your online store - no agency layers, no juniors learning on your project. Starts at 50,000 BDT with 50% advance, 50% on launch, and you only pay the final amount after you approve the design.

5 years building stores for Bangladeshi sellers - F-commerce, boutiques, electronics, food, books.

Who builds your store

One senior developer, not a sales team and a junior

Most online store quotes you see in Bangladesh fall into two buckets: a 5,000 taka template installer who disappears after the first bKash glitch, or a 4-lakh agency that puts a junior on your project while a senior manager keeps emailing you. I sit in the gap on purpose. You get one person - me - who handles the discovery call, the design, the WooCommerce or Shopify build, the payment setup, the courier integration, and the post-launch fixes.

I have spent roughly five years building stores for sellers across Bangladesh - from Facebook-only sellers moving off boosted posts into a real domain, to established retailers in Dhaka and Chattogram who outgrew Daraz and wanted their own checkout. That stretch has taught me what actually breaks in production here: bKash personal numbers used as merchant accounts, courier APIs that change their auth tokens without notice, customers who abandon checkout because they cannot find a cash-on-delivery button above the fold.

My build stack is deliberately boring. WooCommerce on managed hosting for sellers who want to own everything and pay no monthly platform fee. Shopify for sellers who want zero maintenance and are comfortable with the monthly subscription. I will tell you honestly which one fits your case in the first call - I do not push the one with a higher commission for me, because there is no commission.

Pricing is fixed and public: 50,000 BDT for a clean starter store, 90,000 BDT for the most-requested mid tier with full payment and courier integration, 1,50,000 BDT when you need custom features, and from 3,00,000 BDT for fully custom multi-vendor or B2B builds. Half on signing, half when the store goes live. If you do not like the design, you do not pay the second half.

What's included

What you actually get

Six things every online store I build in Bangladesh ships with - not upsells, not add-ons, just the baseline.

01

bKash + Nagad ready

Live bKash merchant checkout (PGW or Tokenized) and Nagad payment gateway wired into the order flow. No fake 'send money to this number' workaround that loses you orders at midnight.

02

Cash on delivery that works

COD is still the majority of Bangladeshi orders. You get a clean COD option, a confirmation call workflow, and a flag in the admin so you can chase fake-order numbers before dispatch.

03

Courier API connected

Pathao, Steadfast, RedX or e-Courier integration so a sale auto-creates the consignment, prints the label, and writes the tracking number back to the order - no manual copy-paste at midnight.

04

Mobile-first checkout

Over 80 percent of your buyers shop from a phone on 4G in Mirpur or Agrabad. Checkout is a single column, district-thana dropdowns pre-filled, OTP login, no surprise scroll.

05

Bangla-friendly admin

Product titles, descriptions, and order notes work cleanly in Bangla and English. Your operations staff can run the store without struggling against a foreign-only interface.

06

Real handover

You get the admin login, hosting login, domain login and a recorded walkthrough showing how to add a product, fulfil an order, and refund through bKash. The store is yours, not rented from me.

In focus

What an online store in Bangladesh actually has to handle

A store built for the US or India will get you stuck on day one in Bangladesh. The reasons are concrete. bKash and Nagad have their own integration rules and require KYC-verified merchant accounts - you cannot just plug in a Stripe key and call it done. Couriers like Pathao and Steadfast each ship their own REST API with quirks around district codes and parcel weight rounding, and getting the consignment-creation webhook to fire reliably from WooCommerce takes a proper integration, not a free plugin from 2019.

Then there is the human side: a typical buyer in Bangladesh will message your Facebook page to ask 'koto taka? COD ache?' even after the price and COD option are clearly shown on the product page, because that is the shopping habit. The store has to be designed to reduce that friction - sticky WhatsApp button, prominent price in BDT, large COD badge above the add-to-cart, an order-confirmation SMS in Bangla so the buyer feels safe.

I build with all of this baked in from the start, not bolted on after launch. That is the difference between 'I have a website' and 'I have an online store that takes orders while I sleep'. The starter package at 50,000 BDT gets you a working store with bKash/Nagad/COD, basic courier integration, and around 20 products live. The 90,000 BDT tier - which is what most serious sellers actually pick - adds full product catalog setup, automated courier API, abandoned-cart recovery, and a clean blog for SEO. Custom budgets from 3,00,000 BDT cover multi-vendor marketplaces, B2B wholesale tiers, ERP sync, or anything that needs proper backend logic.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions I get on every first call about online store development in Bangladesh.

Online store development koto taka in Bangladesh?

Fixed and public: 50,000 BDT for a clean starter store, 90,000 BDT for the mid tier with full payment and courier integration (what most sellers pick), 1,50,000 BDT for premium feature sets, and from 3,00,000 BDT for custom multi-vendor or B2B builds. 50 percent advance via bKash or bank, 50 percent after the store goes live.

Will my store accept bKash, Nagad and cash on delivery?

Yes, all three come standard. I integrate the official bKash merchant checkout (PGW or Tokenized) and the official Nagad payment gateway - not a 'send taka to this number' workaround. Cash on delivery is set up with a confirmation call workflow so you can filter fake orders before dispatching.

Do you handle Pathao or Steadfast courier integration?

Yes. Pathao, Steadfast, RedX and e-Courier are all supported. The integration auto-creates the parcel when an order is paid or confirmed, syncs the tracking number back, and updates status. You stop copying tracking IDs by hand at 11pm.

WooCommerce or Shopify - which one is better for Bangladesh?

Depends on you. WooCommerce wins if you want to own the store, pay no monthly platform fee, and have someone (me, or a small ops person later) to handle hosting. Shopify wins if you want zero technical maintenance and are okay with the monthly subscription and transaction fee. I will give you a straight answer in the first call - I earn the same either way.

How long until my online store goes live?

Starter store at 50,000 BDT - typically 2 to 3 weeks. The 90,000 BDT mid tier - around 3 to 4 weeks. Custom builds depend on scope and we set the timeline in the proposal. The timer starts after you send brand assets, product photos and the 50 percent advance.

I already have a Facebook page and sell there - do I really need a website store?

If you are doing more than 30-40 orders a month and your DMs are unmanageable, yes. A real store lets you stop manually confirming every order, accept payments at any hour, run Meta and Google ads that point to a proper product page, and stop losing buyers who do not want to message a stranger to ask the price. Your Facebook page stays - it just becomes the top of the funnel instead of the entire shop.
