Mobile App Development Price in Bangladesh

Mobile app development price in Bangladesh — published in plain language, not whispered after three meetings.

A Bangladeshi founder asking "mobile app banate koto taka lagbe?" deserves a real answer, not a 30-minute discovery call that ends with "sir, requirement dekhe bolbo." Here is the full price map: 50,000 BDT for mobile-first sites and PWAs, three tiers up to 1,50,000 BDT, and true native Play Store / App Store apps quoted custom from 3,00,000 BDT. No vague "app er price varies" answer.

Floor: 50,000 BDT (PWA / mobile-first build) — Tiers: 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT — Native or hybrid apps: from 3,00,000 BDT custom — 50% advance / 50% on launch — bKash, Nagad, bank transfer accepted — Design approval guarantee in writing.

What the price actually means

How Mobile App Pricing Really Works in Bangladesh

There is a strange theatre around mobile app prices in Bangladesh. A Facebook ad in your feed promises "complete mobile app, only 12,000 taka." A boutique agency in Banani opens at 12 lakh for what sounds like the same scope. A cousin's classmate at BUET says he can do it in his spare time for 25,000. None of them have asked what your app does, who uses it, whether it touches money, or whether it needs to be on Play Store at all. They are guessing — or worse, pricing you based on how you look on Google before the call.

Before any number leaves my mouth I want three things on the table: what the app must let a user do (the actual screens and actions), where the data lives (your phone, a database, or both), and what your launch timeline really is. A clinic in Uttara that wants patients to book appointments and pay the consultation fee is a different project from a marketplace connecting drivers and customers in Dhaka traffic. Same word — "app" — wildly different price. Anyone who skips this conversation and throws a number is selling you a guess.

Most Bangladeshi small businesses who message me with "app lagbe" actually need a fast Progressive Web App or a mobile-first website first, not a Play Store app. A PWA installs from the browser to the home screen, looks and feels like a native app, takes payments through bKash and Nagad, and costs a fraction of the real thing. That is where the 50,000 BDT floor sits. A true native or hybrid app — Play Store presence, push notifications, offline mode, deep hardware access, multi-role login — is a separate animal that starts at 3,00,000 BDT and gets quoted line by line.

Everything published on this page is what I actually charge in 2026, not aspirational pricing for a future agency. One senior operator, around five years of building things for Bangladeshi businesses, doing the discovery, the design, the code, the deployment and the handover. No junior swap, no agency markup, no salesperson translating your Bangla into a Jira ticket that loses half the meaning by Friday.

What Sits Inside Every Mobile App Quote

When I quote a price for a mobile build in Bangladesh, this is the package — every item written into the scope before a single taka changes hands. Nothing here is an upsell or a "sir extra lagbe" surprise mid-build.

01

Published, Honest Floor

50,000 BDT is the real entry price for a PWA or mobile-first build with bKash-ready checkout and a clean admin view. Not a teaser number that doubles after the call.

02

Native From 3,00,000

Genuine Play Store / App Store apps with login, push notifications, offline mode and a custom backend start at 3,00,000 BDT and are quoted itemised by feature, not by vibe.

03

50/50 Payment, in Writing

Half on signing the scope document, half on launch day after you have installed the app on your own phone and clicked through. No hostage-style milestone invoice in week three.

04

Local Payments Scoped In

If your app takes money, bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz or aamarPay integration is scoped from day one with real webhook handling and refund flow — not a screenshot-to-admin workaround.

05

You Own The Accounts

Play Console ($25 one-time) is registered in your name, Apple Developer ($99/year) in yours too. Keystore, certificates, source code and database credentials are handed over on launch day.

06

Direct WhatsApp Line

You message me, not an account manager. Same working day reply, in Bangla or English, from the person actually writing your code. No translation layer, no Friday black-box silence.

The Real Drivers Behind Mobile App Pricing in Bangladesh

The biggest single factor that moves a mobile app price up or down in Bangladesh is not how fancy the design is — it is how many distinct user types log in. A simple app where a customer browses a menu and places an order is roughly one-third the work of an app where customers order, restaurants accept and manage stock, riders see assigned deliveries, and an admin reconciles bKash payouts and runs reports.

Each role needs its own screens, its own permissions, its own edge cases (what happens when a rider's phone dies mid-delivery? what if bKash IPN is delayed by ten minutes?). When you compare quotes from different Dhaka vendors, ask each one to list the user roles and the screens for each role. If they cannot, they are pricing a sketch on the back of an envelope, not your real project.

The second driver is what most Bangladeshi clients only discover after launch: the ongoing platform and hosting costs that have nothing to do with my fee. Google Play Console is a one-time $25 (around 3,000 BDT) and must be registered in your own name with your own NID and bank — not the developer's. Apple Developer is $99 every year (around 12,000 BDT) and requires a real Mac for builds, which is a hard cost if you need iOS.

Backend hosting on a proper VPS runs 1,500 to 6,000 BDT a month depending on user load — not free shared hosting that crashes when 50 people open the app at once. SMS OTP via Alpha SMS or Banglalink runs around 0.30 to 0.50 taka per message. I write all of these out in your quote before you sign, so the price you agree to today is what you actually spend over the first year — no "app to ready, kintu hosting alada" surprise the night before launch.

The exact pricing questions I get on WhatsApp from Bangladeshi business owners thinking about a mobile app.

Mobile app banate koto taka lagbe Bangladesh e?

Honest, no-meeting answer: a mobile-first website or PWA that behaves like an app starts at 50,000 BDT. Three packaged tiers run 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT and cover most SME needs — catalogue, order form, bKash checkout, location pages, admin dashboard. A real native or hybrid Play Store / App Store app with login, push notifications and a custom backend is quoted custom from 3,00,000 BDT. Anyone giving you a flat "app price" without asking what it does is guessing.

How do I know if I need a 50,000 BDT PWA or a 3,00,000 BDT native app?

You need a native app when the answer to any of these is yes: do users need offline mode (rider apps, field inspectors), do you need real push notifications (chat, alerts), do you need deep hardware access (background GPS, Bluetooth, camera with custom logic), is being on Play Store essential for customer trust, or do you have multiple user types like drivers and customers? Otherwise, a PWA does 90% of what most Bangladeshi SMEs actually need, and starts at 50,000 BDT. I tell you straight on the discovery call which one fits — I do not upsell native if a PWA is the right answer.

Why does the Banani agency quote 8-12 lakh for something you do for 3 lakh?

Two reasons. One, they have salaries, office rent in a glass tower and three project managers to pay, and that overhead gets added to your invoice whether or not it helps your project. Two, they price each client based on how much budget they think you have — a corporate buyer in Gulshan gets one number, a startup founder in Mirpur gets a different one for the same scope. I run solo, publish my numbers, and quote against a written scope. The same app costs the same whether you are a multinational or a one-person business.

What about the 12,000 taka "complete mobile app" Facebook ads?

What they ship for 12,000 taka is almost never a real app. It is usually a free Bootstrap template wrapped inside a webview, no real backend, no Play Store account in your name, no proper testing, and no support after the first week. It runs for a few days, breaks on the next Android update, and the developer is unreachable. If your business depends on the app working, that 12,000 taka is the most expensive mistake of the year. It is cheaper to wait, save, and start at 50,000 BDT with something that ships and stays shipped.

How is payment structured, and is the advance refundable?

50% advance to lock the scope and start design work, 50% on launch day after you have installed and tested. Payment by bKash, Nagad, or bank transfer (Dutch-Bangla, BRAC, City — your pick); a proper invoice is issued. The advance is non-refundable once design work begins because that is real hours of work already done. The design-approval guarantee means we do not move into development until you are happy with how the main screens look — that is where your risk is protected.

What are the real ongoing costs after launch, beyond the build price?

Plan for these in writing before you sign: Play Console $25 one-time (around 3,000 BDT) in your name; Apple Developer $99/year (around 12,000 BDT) if you need iOS; backend hosting on a proper VPS 1,500 to 6,000 BDT/month depending on load; SMS OTP 0.30 to 0.50 taka per message; domain 1,000 to 1,500 BDT/year. Optional maintenance retainers (bug fixes, OS-update compatibility, small feature tweaks) start at 8,000 BDT/month, but you are never locked in — the app is yours, the code is yours, and you can hire anyone to maintain it.
