Who you're hiring
One developer who knows WordPress end to end
I'm RH Fardin, a freelance WordPress developer based in Bangladesh. WordPress runs a huge share of the BD web, which is exactly why so much of it is a mess, anyone can install it, far fewer can configure it so it stays fast and secure. When you hire me, I handle the whole thing: theme setup, custom layouts, the plugin stack, performance, security hardening, and the training so you can post and edit on your own.
There's a gap between someone who installs WordPress and someone who develops on it. The first kind buys a 5,000 taka theme on Themeforest, dumps in fifteen plugins, and hands you a slow site held together with a free page builder. I build WordPress the way it's meant to be built: a clean theme or a child theme done right, custom fields where you need structured content, and only the plugins that earn their place, because every extra plugin is one more thing that can break on update or open a security hole.
Over about five years I've inherited a lot of broken WordPress sites in BD, and the story repeats. A cheaper freelancer used a nulled (pirated) premium theme to save money, and six months later the site is injected with spam links or redirecting visitors to a gambling page. Or the original builder vanished and left an admin panel so cluttered the owner is scared to touch it. I fix these, but I'd rather build yours so it never gets there, with genuine licensed tools and a setup you control.
I take a small number of clients at a time, on purpose. That's the honest trade-off of hiring an individual over an agency: you get a senior WordPress developer doing the actual work, not a junior practicing on your business, but I can't juggle twenty sites at once. If I take your project, it gets configured carefully and it gets maintained, not abandoned.
