Ecommerce Website Development Price in Bangladesh

What an ecommerce website actually costs in Bangladesh — without the agency markup, the hidden monthly fees, or the WhatsApp-only price quotes.

Three transparent tiers. bKash, Nagad and SSLCOMMERZ integration included where it should be. A real human (me) building, testing and launching every line. Start at 50,000 BDT, scale up only when your catalog and traffic justify it.

Five years of building stores for Bangladeshi sellers. 50% advance, 50% on launch. Design-approval guarantee — you sign off the design before I write the first line of production code.

Real numbers, no escalator clauses

How ecommerce pricing actually works in Bangladesh

Most BD store owners asking "koto taka?" have been quoted three wildly different prices in one week — 15,000 BDT from a college student on Fiverr, 1,20,000 BDT from a mid-sized agency, and "5 lakh+" from a corporate vendor who hasn't returned your call. None of those numbers come with a clear scope. None of them tell you what happens when your bKash callback breaks at 11pm on a Friday.

I price ecommerce projects the way I'd want to be priced if I were the buyer — by what's actually inside the box. A starter ecommerce site for around 50,000 BDT covers up to roughly 50 SKUs, one payment gateway (bKash, Nagad or SSLCOMMERZ), Pathao or Steadfast integration, and a clean mobile-first design. A 90,000 BDT mid-tier project covers a larger catalog, full multi-gateway checkout, customer accounts, inventory tracking, and order-status SMS. The 1,50,000 BDT tier is for sellers running real volume — variant products, COD reconciliation, returns workflow, abandoned-cart recovery, and analytics that actually help you decide what to restock.

Anything more custom — marketplace, multi-vendor, ERP sync, subscription billing, custom delivery zones — starts at 3,00,000 BDT because that's the floor where I can build it properly without cutting corners I'll regret in six months. Payment is split 50% advance, 50% on launch. No retainer creep, no "monthly maintenance" required unless you actually want it.

What you won't see in my quote: per-page fees, page-builder bloat charges, theme licensing add-ons, or a "SEO premium" tacked on at the end. The structured data, sitemap, Open Graph, page-speed budget and mobile lighthouse score are part of doing the job right — they shouldn't be line items.

What's included

What your taka actually buys

Six concrete things you get at every tier — not upsells, not phase-two promises.

01

Local payments wired up

bKash Tokenized Checkout, Nagad payment API or SSLCOMMERZ — picked based on your business type, not what's easiest for me to integrate. Webhook retries, refund flow and reconciliation reports included.

02

Pathao & Steadfast ready

Courier API connected to your order panel so you can auto-create consignments, print labels and pull tracking links without copy-pasting addresses. COD orders flagged and reconciled separately.

03

Mobile-first checkout

70%+ of your buyers are on Android phones over 4G — your checkout has to be three taps and under 2 seconds to first interaction. I design and benchmark against that, not a 27-inch monitor.

04

Bangla + English ready

Product titles, category names and checkout messages can be in Bangla, English or both. Bangla typography (SolaimanLipi, Hind Siliguri, or your brand font) renders properly across iOS, Android and older browsers.

05

Real inventory logic

Stock counts that update on order placement (not after delivery), variant-level inventory for sizes and colors, low-stock alerts to your email or Messenger — so you don't oversell what's in the back room.

06

Design-approval guarantee

You sign off the homepage, product page and checkout designs in Figma before I touch production code. If you hate it after I build it, that's my problem to fix — not your invoice line.

In focus

What actually drives the price of an ecommerce site in Bangladesh

When sellers ask why one developer quotes 25,000 BDT and another 1,50,000 BDT for what sounds like the same thing, the honest answer is that the cheap quote almost never includes the work that makes the store actually sell.

The price moves on five real variables: catalog size and structure (10 SKUs vs 800 SKUs with variants is a completely different schema and admin UX); number of payment gateways and whether they're tokenized or redirect-based; courier integration depth (manual entry vs full Pathao/Steadfast/RedX API with status sync); custom checkout requirements like guest checkout, COD verification calls, EMI on bKash, or split shipping; and finally the data and reporting layer — whether you want real dashboards or just "export to Excel".

On top of that, infrastructure decisions move the number too. A WooCommerce store on shared cPanel hosting can launch for 50,000 BDT and run fine for a small catalog. The same store at 5,000 daily visitors with flash sales needs a tuned LiteSpeed or Cloudflare setup, object caching, image CDN, and a checkout that won't lock up — that's a 1,50,000 BDT build and you can feel the difference on day one of a Facebook campaign. The cost isn't padding; it's the difference between a store that survives a viral reel and one that returns timeouts during the only hour that mattered.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions I actually get on WhatsApp at 9pm — answered plainly.

Ecommerce website koto taka in Bangladesh?

Starter store with bKash/Nagad and basic courier integration: 50,000 BDT. Mid-tier with full multi-gateway, customer accounts and order tracking: 90,000 BDT. Full-feature store with variants, COD reconciliation and abandoned-cart recovery: 1,50,000 BDT. Marketplace, multi-vendor or ERP-integrated builds: from 3,00,000 BDT. 50% advance, 50% on launch — no hidden monthly fees.

Why are some ecommerce quotes in BD only 15,000–25,000 BDT?

Usually one of three things: a free template installed with placeholder products and no real payment integration; a Shopify trial that needs your USD card to renew; or a job where the developer disappears the moment you ask for a bug fix. Cheap is fine if you genuinely only need a digital business card. If you want to actually take payments and ship orders without losing them, the work isn't a 15k job.

Is bKash payment gateway integration included in the price?

Yes — at all three tiers. I integrate bKash Tokenized Checkout (the real API, not just a phone-number display). Nagad and SSLCOMMERZ are included on request. The only extra costs are what bKash/Nagad themselves charge for merchant accounts and per-transaction fees, which go directly to them — not to me.

Do you charge a monthly maintenance fee on top of the development price?

No. You own the site, the code, the database and the hosting login. Maintenance is optional — if you want me on retainer for updates, hotfixes and content, it's a separate monthly plan you can start or stop anytime. Most clients run their own admin and only call me when they want a real change.

How long does an ecommerce site take to build at each price tier?

50,000 BDT starter: 2–3 weeks. 90,000 BDT mid-tier: 4–5 weeks. 1,50,000 BDT full-feature: 6–8 weeks. Timelines assume you respond to design reviews within 2 working days and have product photos, descriptions and pricing ready. If your content is still being prepared, we can start with placeholder data and swap it in before launch.

Can I start at 50,000 BDT and upgrade to a bigger store later?

Yes — that's how most sellers I work with grow. I build the starter on a structure that can carry the mid and full-feature features later, so you're not paying to rebuild from scratch when your catalog or traffic doubles. The upgrade cost is the difference between tiers, not the full new tier price.
