What a Dhaka ecommerce build actually costs, and why
The first message I get from almost every founder in Dhaka is some version of koto taka? It is a fair question, so here is a straight answer. A starter ecommerce site, around 15 to 30 products with bKash Personal, COD, and one courier integration, starts at 50,000 BDT. A proper catalogue store with 50 to 200 products, bKash Merchant or a Payment Gateway integration, customer accounts, abandoned cart recovery and full SteadFast or Pathao API runs 90,000 BDT.
A premium build with custom design, multi-vendor or wholesale logic, advanced filtering and full speed optimisation lands at 1,50,000 BDT. Anything more bespoke, like a marketplace, B2B portal or custom inventory system, is a custom quote from 3,00,000 BDT.
What pushes the price within those tiers is almost never the design. It is the number of products, whether you need a full payment gateway versus bKash Personal, whether the courier integration is real-time API or manual export, and how much custom logic the checkout needs (discount codes, bundles, area-based shipping rates, COD restrictions for specific upazilas). I quote against those concrete variables, not against a vague feature checklist, so the number you see in the proposal is the number you pay. 50 percent advance to start, 50 percent on launch day, no surprise add-ons in between.
