Ecommerce Website Design BD

An online store designed for the way Bangladeshis actually buy.

I design ecommerce websites in BD around real buyer behaviour here: thumb-driven on a mid-range Android, cash on delivery, bKash/Nagad payments, Messenger before checkout. Clean product pages, fast load on 4G, and a checkout that does not lose the sale at the last step. From 50,000 BDT, designed and built by one senior operator, not a handoff chain.

From 50,000 BDT • bKash, Nagad & COD-ready • 50% advance, 50% on launch • design-approval guarantee • ~5 years building stores for BD merchants

About the designer

One senior designer, designing your store end to end

The hardest part of ecommerce website design in Bangladesh is not the homepage. It is the gap between a buyer landing on your product page from a Facebook ad and them actually pressing Confirm Order on a 4G connection at 11pm. Most stores I get asked to fix lose the sale somewhere in that gap — a slow image, a Cash on Delivery option buried two clicks deep, a bKash number sitting in a screenshot, a checkout that suddenly asks for a postcode no one knows.

I am RH Fardin, a senior solo website designer and developer based in Bangladesh. For around 5 years I have been designing and building ecommerce sites for BD merchants — fashion brands, electronics resellers, home goods stores, food and grocery, small D2C labels. Every store I take on, I design personally. No agency middle layer, no junior pushing your work down the queue, no template factory.

The design work is opinionated and rooted in what I see actually convert here: mobile-first layouts because more than 80% of your traffic is on a phone, product cards that hold up at 360px wide, a sticky Add to Cart on mobile, a checkout that supports Cash on Delivery as a first-class option (not an afterthought), and bKash and Nagad payment instructions written like a human wrote them. I design for the buyer in Mirpur or Sylhet who has three tabs open and a flaky connection — not for a design jury in San Francisco.

Every project starts with one conversation about your products, your margins, your delivery partners (Pathao, Steadfast, RedX, your own riders), and the kinds of objections your customers raise on Messenger. From there I design the store, build it, and ship it. You see the design before any code is written and it does not move forward until you approve it — that is the design-approval guarantee, in plain words.

What's included

What you actually get with this ecommerce website design

Six things I bake into every BD ecommerce site I design — not because they sound good in a proposal, but because they are the difference between a store that takes orders and a store that just exists.

01

Mobile-first product pages

Designed at 360px first, then scaled up. Image, price, size/colour, and Add to Cart all visible without scrolling on a typical Android screen.

02

bKash & Nagad checkout

Mobile wallet payment built in as a real option with clear merchant number, amount, and transaction-ID field — not a screenshot in the footer.

03

Cash on Delivery first

COD is treated as the default payment method most BD buyers actually use, with a short address form designed for thumb-typing and no required postcode.

04

Messenger-ready trust

Product pages link straight to your Messenger or WhatsApp for the “koto taka, vai?” question, so you do not lose buyers who want to ask before they order.

05

Fast on 4G

Compressed product images, lazy loading, and a lean theme so your store opens in a few seconds on a mid-range phone in Chattogram or a village in Bogura.

06

Order panel you can use

A clean admin where your team can mark orders as confirmed, packed, shipped via Pathao or Steadfast, and delivered — without needing a developer for every change.

In focus

What good ecommerce website design actually looks like in Bangladesh

Most ecommerce design templates floating around are built for a buyer who taps Apple Pay and waits two days for a courier. That is not your customer. Your customer is comparing your price with three other Facebook pages, screenshotting the product to send to a friend, asking on Messenger if delivery is available in Cumilla, and then choosing Cash on Delivery because they want to see the product before paying. Good ecommerce website design in BD respects every step of that journey — it does not fight it.

In practice, that means a product page with the price visible the moment it loads (not below the fold), a size and colour picker that does not require a desktop mouse to use, an Add to Cart button that is always visible while scrolling on mobile, a checkout that asks for the absolute minimum (name, phone, full address, and that is it), and an order confirmation that gives the customer a Messenger or call button in case they want to confirm. The result is a store that converts the traffic you are already paying Facebook to send — instead of leaking it at the checkout.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

Real questions I get on Messenger and WhatsApp about ecommerce website design in BD — answered honestly, not in marketing-speak.

Ecommerce website design BD ranga koto taka? (What is the price?)

An ecommerce website design in BD starts from 50,000 BDT with me. That covers a clean, mobile-first store on WordPress + WooCommerce with up to ~25 products loaded, bKash/Nagad payment setup, Cash on Delivery, and a basic order panel. The 90,000 BDT tier adds more product categories, filters, and a more custom design. The 1,50,000 BDT tier is for bigger catalogues with detailed variation handling. Fully custom builds start from 3,00,000 BDT. Terms are 50% advance, 50% on launch.

Will the store work with bKash and Nagad properly?

Yes. I set up bKash and Nagad as proper checkout options with your merchant or personal number, the order amount auto-filled in the instructions, and a field for the customer to paste their transaction ID. If you have a bKash Merchant or PGW account, I can wire that up too. No screenshots, no “send us proof on Messenger” hack.

What about Cash on Delivery — most of my orders are COD?

COD is designed in as the default option, because that is the reality for most BD merchants. The checkout asks only for name, phone, and address, with delivery charge calculated by area (Inside Dhaka, Outside Dhaka, or per upazila if you want). You can also set a partial advance for COD orders if you get a lot of fake orders.

Can I connect Pathao, Steadfast or RedX for delivery?

Yes. I can integrate Pathao Courier, Steadfast, or RedX so that when you mark an order ready, a consignment is created automatically and the tracking number is sent to your customer. If you use your own riders, I will build a simple manual workflow instead. Whichever fits your operation.

Will the store be fast on mobile data in Bangladesh?

That is one of the main things I design for. Product images are compressed and served in modern formats, scripts are kept lean, and the theme is built so the homepage and product pages open in a few seconds on a 4G connection on a mid-range Android. I test on a real phone, not just on desktop.

Do you do the ongoing work too — adding products, sale banners, Eid offers?

Yes, but the admin is built so your team can do most of it without me. Adding products, changing prices, putting up an Eid offer banner, marking orders as shipped — all of that is in the panel. If you want me on a monthly retainer for bigger changes (new collections, sale page design, performance tuning), we can set that up separately after launch.
