Why a Sylhet digital marketing price isn't the same as a Dhaka one
When the same work costs more for a Sylhet business than a Dhaka one, it is almost never the strategist's fee that moves — it is the ad budget, because your audience is split across two worlds. A Dhaka restaurant markets to people who can drive over tonight. A Sylhet wedding venue, real-estate project or Hajj-Umrah agency is often selling to the probashi brother in Whitechapel who is paying, and the relative back home who is organising.
Showing ads in UK and Gulf postcodes, in English, to a returnee who judges your page against the polished apps on his phone, simply costs more per result than reaching a local in Zindabazar. That cost lands on your ad budget, not my fee — and any quote that does not separate the two is hiding something.
The 50,000 BDT floor is what it honestly costs for one senior person to plan, target and track this properly; the spend on top is sized to whether you are chasing local walk-ins, the diaspora, or both.
There is also a calendar premium nobody mentions. Sylhet's real money moves in a short winter window — when probashi families fly home for weddings and venues, caterers, restaurants and jewellers fight for the same few weeks. Ad auctions get more expensive when everyone bids at once, so a smart plan front-loads spend into those weeks and runs lean on SEO and brand in the quiet months, instead of dribbling a flat retainer across a year where half of it is wasted.
That is a pricing decision, not just a tactic — and it is why I would rather charge a clean fee for a sharp seasonal campaign than sell you twelve identical months. So when you compare a digital marketing price in Sylhet against a number you heard for Dhaka, do not assume the cheaper headline is the better deal.
Ask what is fee and what is ad budget, ask whether the plan even reaches the buyers funding the purchase from abroad, and ask who is actually logged into the account at 11pm in wedding season. The honest answer to those three questions tells you far more than the first figure ever will.
