About this expertise
What a real software expert does before quoting you in Dhaka
Here is the conversation I have almost every week with a business owner in Gulshan, Motijheel or Mirpur: "We already paid for a system. It half works. The developer stopped replying. Can you take it over?" That single sentence tells me more about the Dhaka custom software market than any brochure. The problem is rarely that Bangladeshi developers cannot code. It is that the people selling "custom software" in this city are usually not the people building it, so nobody owns the result when it breaks. By the time it reaches you, the original brief has been through a salesperson, a coordinator and whichever junior was free that week.
Being a custom software development expert in Dhaka is not about knowing more frameworks than the next shop. It is about knowing which questions to ask before a single line of code is written, and being honest enough to talk you out of features you do not need.
When you send me a brief, I push on the things agencies skip: how many staff will touch this daily, will they use a phone or a desktop, where does the money actually flow, is the data sensitive, what breaks in your current process at 5pm on a busy day. The answer to those questions decides whether you are looking at a 90,000 BDT web app or a 5,00,000 BDT system, and I will tell you the truth either way.
I am RH Fardin, a Dhaka-based developer with around five years building custom software, web applications and ecommerce systems for businesses across Bangladesh. I do not run a floor of desks in Banani. I take a small number of projects at a time and own each one personally, from the requirements call to the database schema to the screens to the deployment to the late-night WhatsApp message when something needs attention. When you hire me, there is no account manager between you and the person whose hands are on your code.
Pricing is plain and quoted in BDT, not dollars. The smallest engagement, a single-purpose internal tool or admin panel, starts at 50,000 BDT. Mid-size web software lands in my 90,000 to 1,50,000 BDT range. A genuine custom system with multiple user roles, reporting, payment integration and proper backups starts at 3,00,000 BDT and scales with scope. Payment is 50% advance to begin, 50% on launch day before the final version goes live. No surprise milestone fees, no forced maintenance retainer you never asked for.
