Why corporate website quotes in Dhanmondi swing from 20,000 BDT to 5,00,000 BDT for the same brief
Three companies in the same Road 27 building can ask the exact same brief — corporate website, around eight pages, contact form, careers section — and receive quotes ranging from 20,000 BDT to 5,00,000 BDT. The reason is almost never the design quality. It is who actually builds it, what is silently excluded, and whether the agency is hiding subcontracted juniors behind a senior-looking sales pitch.
Most low-end quotes you see in Dhanmondi are a stretched WordPress theme, a stock contact form, and zero strategy. Most high-end quotes are padded with project managers, account managers, and a queue of three other clients you will share a junior developer with. Neither one tells you what the site is actually supposed to do for your business. My pricing sits in the middle on purpose — senior work, no middlemen, scope written in plain Bangla-English so you know what 50,000 BDT covers and what 1,50,000 BDT adds.
I work alone. That means when you message me on WhatsApp at 9pm because the MD wants to see a different homepage hero before tomorrow's board meeting, you are not waiting for a junior to forward it to a senior. It also means I cap how many corporate projects I take per quarter — usually four or five — because corporate sites for Dhanmondi companies (law firms, consulting groups, trading houses, real estate developers, NGOs around Mirpur Road) deserve more than a templated rush job.
Around five years of doing this in Dhaka has taught me that the cheapest quote almost always becomes the most expensive project. You end up paying once for the bad site, again for the redesign six months later, and a third time for the SEO consultant who has to undo the damage. My quote is what it is so you only pay once.
