Built for Gulshan, not a template marketplace
Why Gulshan businesses pick a senior solo designer over an agency
A Gulshan office on Road 11 once showed me a quote from a local agency: 1,80,000 BDT, six weeks, three pages, and the proposal opened with the line 'in today's digital landscape'. They didn't know which junior would be on it. They didn't show a single past project that matched the buyer they were trying to reach. That is the standard problem in this neighbourhood — agencies pitch hard, hand the work to a junior, and the founder spends the next two months on WhatsApp chasing screenshots. I am one person. The person who quotes the project builds the project.
I have spent about five years designing and developing websites for Bangladeshi businesses, with a chunk of that work centred on Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara clients — corporate consultancies, law firms, F&B groups, real estate developers, importer-distributors. The pattern in Gulshan is fairly consistent: the founder is busy, the brand already exists in print and on the office wall, the website is the one asset that has not caught up. The job is to make the site match the actual room a visitor would walk into.
Every project follows the same flow. Discovery call (45-60 minutes, on Zoom or at a coffee shop on Gulshan Avenue), written scope, fixed price in BDT, 50% advance via bank transfer or bKash/Nagad. Design first in Figma — you see the home page and one inner page before a single line of code. You approve. I build. We test on a real Bangladeshi 4G connection, on the Samsung and iPhone models your buyers actually use, then launch. The whole thing is usually 3 to 6 weeks depending on tier.
Tiers in BDT, plain numbers: 50,000 for a tight 4-5 page presence site that loads fast and converts; 90,000 for a 7-10 page corporate site with proper services, case study and contact flow; 1,50,000 for a 12-15 page setup with blog, multi-language or basic CMS; from 3,00,000 for a fully custom build (web app, complex integrations, custom CMS, ecommerce). 50% on signing, 50% on launch. That is the whole price list.
