Honest cheap Shopify in Sylhet
In Sylhet, the cheap Shopify quote forgets two bills: the monthly dollar charge, and the probashi card order it never tests
You run a boutique off a Facebook page in Zindabazar, or a gift-and-sweets shop that half your customers order for relatives back home, and you are doing thirty to seventy orders a month in DMs. So you search "low cost Shopify store development in Sylhet" and someone quotes you 12,000 to 15,000 taka.
What that number quietly drops is everything that decides whether the store survives: Shopify charges roughly 29 USD every month, in dollars, on a card most Sylhet sellers do not own; Shopify has no native bKash or Nagad; and — the part nobody else in this city even mentions — that 15,000-taka build never once tests the card checkout your probashi customers abroad will actually use. The cheap number is the bait, not the deal.
Sylhet is the one market where this gets sharper than anywhere else in Bangladesh, because your money does not all come from inside the city. A buyer in Bandar Bazar messages first, asks koto taka, then pays cash on delivery or bKash on confirmation. But a son in Whitechapel or a brother in the Gulf is sending a gift to his mother in Ambarkhana, and he wants to tap a card and be done, the way he shops on every site over there.
Shopify's native checkout is genuinely good at exactly that card buyer — and genuinely useless at bKash on its own. The 15,000-taka installer only thinks about the local bKash note. The first probashi card order fails silently, the family in London assumes you simply do not take cards, and you never even hear that you lost them.
I build these stores myself, start to finish. Every cheap Shopify project at 50,000 BDT is designed by me, coded by me in the Liquid theme, and tested on a real mid-range Android over Sylhet mobile data before it reaches you — and tested again the way an overseas card would hit the checkout, because in this city that is the half a budget build skips. The first conversation is not about colours or themes.
It is about the dollar question: do you have a card that bills in USD, do we set up a virtual dollar card, or is your volume honestly too low to carry Shopify's monthly fee yet? I would rather settle that on the first call than watch a brand-new Subid Bazar store go dark in week two when the trial ends and the charge fails.
The 50,000 BDT scope is deliberately tight, because tight is what keeps it honest at this price. You get a paid or properly customised free theme, up to roughly 30 of your real products loaded with BDT prices and variants, COD set as the default and shown early in checkout, a clear bKash and Nagad flow with the merchant number and order reference at the right moment, Shopify's card checkout tested and left live for diaspora buyers, shipping zones split for inside-city Zindabazar, Ambarkhana and Uposhohor versus out-of-Sylhet,
courier-ready order export for Pathao, Steadfast or SA Paribahan, a Messenger fallback for the buyer who wants to ask koto taka first, and a one-hour training call so you run it from your phone. If your catalogue runs to 200 SKUs, or you need collections, filters and abandoned-cart recovery, that is the 90,000 or 1,50,000 BDT tier — and heavy custom Liquid, multi-currency tuning or inventory sync is custom from 3,00,000 BDT.
And if the dollar fee makes no sense for your volume yet, I will say so plainly and point you to WooCommerce or a clean catalogue site instead. I would rather lose the project than hand you a store that bleeds dollars it cannot fund.
