How to read a Dhaka quote line by line
Here is the test I give every business owner who shows me a quote from another Dhaka studio: ask them to break the number into hours and rate, and watch what happens. A clean quote will say something like 'six pages, custom design, mobile build, on-page SEO, one revision round — 60,000 BDT' and every taka maps to work you can point at.
A padded quote hides the real drivers behind a single round figure, because the figure is not built up from your scope — it is built down from what their office needs to bill this month.
The honest variables that should move a Dhaka business-site price are only ever these: page count (a five-page brochure versus a twenty-page site), whether you supply the copy or I write it, English-only versus a proper bilingual Bangla–English build with real Bangla typography, catalogue or service-list complexity, and integrations like bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz, or a courier API such as Pathao or Steadfast. Nothing else should swing the number by a lakh.
The other half of the test is what gets left off the quote — because that is where Dhaka surprises usually live. Hosting, the domain, premium plugin licences, photography: I keep those outside the build price on purpose, because their costs are public and recurring and belong on your books, not buried in mine.
A .com.bd domain is roughly 800–2,500 BDT a year, business-grade shared hosting suitable for a Dhaka SME runs about 4,000–8,000 BDT a year, and a one-time premium theme or plugin stack rarely tops 8,000 BDT. I name the providers and you pay them directly, with zero markup from me.
That single decision is the difference between a 50,000 BDT quote that stays 50,000 and one that quietly becomes 80,000 by launch — and once you have seen it laid out this way, you will spot the padding in every other quote you are handed.
