Website Banate Koto Taka Lage? (Price Guide)

The first question almost every Bangladeshi business owner asks me on WhatsApp: bhai, website banate koto taka lage?

Short answer: 50,000 taka is the realistic starting floor for a proper site in Bangladesh, and most small businesses land between 50,000 and 1,50,000 BDT. Long answer is this page. No agency markup, no "depends on requirement" dodge. Just the actual numbers, what drives them up, and how to avoid paying for things you do not need.

Why this price guide exists

The honest answer to "website banate koto taka lage"

I get this message at least three times a week: "Bhai, ekta website banate koto taka lage?" Then the same person tells me a cousin's friend said 8,000 taka, a Facebook ad agency said 1,20,000 taka, and a foreign company quoted 4,500 USD. All for the same business. That is the problem this page solves — you should know what a real website actually costs in Bangladesh before anyone quotes you.

The 8,000 taka quote is almost always a free template with your logo dropped in, hosted on shared hosting that crashes the first time a Facebook ad runs. The 1,20,000 quote is often padded for resellers and middlemen. The 4,500 USD quote is foreign agency pricing — fine work, but you can get the same quality locally for a fraction. The honest middle is what most small and mid-sized businesses in Bangladesh actually need, and it sits between 50,000 and 1,50,000 BDT.

I am RH Fardin. I design and build websites myself — no junior team, no outsourcing, no "project manager" who disappears after you pay. That means when I quote a price, it is the actual price. No hidden "extra page charge" later, no "SSL alada" surprise, no "mobile responsive lagbe? otar charge alada" nonsense. Whatever the scope is, the number on the invoice is the number you pay.

This guide breaks down what actually drives website cost in Bangladesh, what each tier (50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT) gets you, when custom development (3,00,000+ BDT) makes sense, and the questions to ask any vendor before paying a single taka. Read it once and you will stop getting confused by wildly different quotes.

What's included

What actually drives website price in Bangladesh

Same brief, six vendors, six different numbers — here is why. These are the variables that move your final price up or down.

01

Number of pages

A 5-page company site is cheaper than a 15-page site with services, blog, careers and case studies. More pages mean more design, more copy decisions and more testing — each adds to the bill.

02

Custom vs template

A real custom design built from your brand costs more than a polished template with your colours swapped in. Both are valid choices — but they are not the same price and you should know which one you are buying.

03

Functionality depth

A brochure site is one price. Add a working bKash/Nagad checkout, an inventory dashboard, a booking calendar or a login portal — each one shifts you into the next tier.

04

Content readiness

If you hand over finished copy, logo and product photos, work moves fast. If I have to write, source images and shoot product shots, that is extra time and an extra line item on the quote.

05

Hosting & domain choice

Cheap shared hosting saves a few thousand taka up front and costs you sales the first time the site goes down during a campaign. Proper hosting is a small monthly cost that pays for itself the first month.

06

Who is actually building it

A solo senior developer, a 12-person agency with a sales team, and a college student all quote different prices because their overheads are different. You are paying for skill, accountability and time — not branded T-shirts.

In focus

The three real price tiers in Bangladesh — 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT

Here is what each tier actually delivers, based on what I build week to week. 50,000 BDT (starting floor): a clean 5-7 page business website on WordPress, mobile responsive, contact form to your email, basic on-page SEO, Google Analytics, free SSL, and a simple admin panel so you can edit text and add news posts yourself. Good for small businesses, single-location service providers and personal brands who need a credible online presence and a contact channel. 90,000 BDT (mid tier): 8-12 pages, custom-feel design (not an off-the-shelf template), service-specific landing pages, blog with category structure, on-page SEO done properly, schema markup, faster hosting setup and a couple of integrations like Messenger chat, WhatsApp click-to-chat, or a Mailchimp signup. This is where most established small and mid-sized businesses in Dhaka and Chattogram land.

1,50,000 BDT (premium tier): fully custom design, 15+ pages or a small ecommerce setup (10-50 products) with bKash/Nagad/SSLCommerz checkout, inventory management, order dashboard, customer accounts, courier integration and proper performance optimisation. Above this — say, 3,00,000 BDT and up — you are into custom development territory: large product catalogues, multi-vendor marketplaces, booking systems, member portals, custom dashboards, or apps that need a backend built from scratch. Payment is always 50% advance to start work and 50% on launch, no exceptions. Design approval is guaranteed before any development starts — if the design does not feel right, we keep iterating on the mockup, you never get stuck with a site you do not like. If your business does not fit cleanly in one of these tiers, message me on WhatsApp with what you sell and who you sell to — I will tell you, honestly, which tier is right for you and why.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions I get asked the most about website price in Bangladesh, answered straight.

Website banate koto taka lage Bangladesh-e? Shobcheye komme koto?

Realistic floor is 50,000 BDT for a proper 5-7 page business website with mobile responsive design, contact form, SSL, basic SEO and an admin panel. Anything advertised for 5,000-15,000 taka is a free template with your logo pasted in — it will not rank, will not convert, and will break the first time you try to update it.

Why are there such wildly different quotes — 8,000 to 1,20,000 BDT — for the same site?

Different vendors are selling completely different products. The 8,000 quote is a template install on shared hosting. The 1,20,000 is often agency pricing with resellers in the middle. Ask each vendor exactly what is included: number of pages, custom design or template, hosting type, SEO setup, who maintains it. Suddenly the prices make sense.

Apnar payment system kemon? Full taka age dite hobe?

No. Standard split is 50% advance to start work, 50% on launch. The advance covers design and the bulk of development. Final 50% is due only when the site is live, working and you have signed off. bKash, Nagad and bank transfer all work.

If I pay extra, what actually changes — and what is just markup?

Extra spend should buy real things: custom design (not template), more pages, ecommerce checkout, integrations (bKash/Nagad/SSLCommerz, CRM, inventory), proper SEO, faster hosting. Things that should not cost extra: making it mobile responsive, SSL, contact form — those are baseline. If a vendor charges separately for those, walk away.

Ami chhoto business, 50,000 taka spend korar age sure hote chai. Cheaper option ki ache?

Honest answer: below 50,000 BDT, your only real option is doing it yourself with a free WordPress theme or a Shopify trial — and that is fine to start. But if you want it built for you, properly, with the basics done right, 50,000 is the realistic floor. Anything cheaper is someone cutting corners they will not warn you about until later.

How long does each tier take to deliver?

50,000 BDT tier: 10-15 working days from advance and content. 90,000 BDT tier: 3-4 weeks. 1,50,000 BDT tier with ecommerce: 4-6 weeks. Custom projects above 3,00,000 BDT are scoped individually. Delays almost always come from content not being ready on the client side — have your copy, logo and photos sorted before you pay the advance.
