A boutique owner in Dhanmondi 27 told me last month she had been chasing WordPress quotes for six weeks. The cheapest was a college student offering a free theme install for 12,000 BDT. The most expensive was an agency on Mirpur Road quoting 5,20,000 BDT for what they called an enterprise WordPress build. The actual scope she needed sat squarely between those two extremes, and nobody had bothered to explain what each price actually bought her.
WordPress pricing in Dhanmondi looks chaotic because the word WordPress hides four very different things. There is a nulled theme dump for 10,000-15,000 BDT that crashes in three months. There is a clean ThemeForest setup at 30,000-45,000 BDT that looks fine but bends like rubber under any custom requirement. There is a properly configured custom-design WordPress build, which is what I do, starting at 50,000 BDT. And there is full custom theme development with Advanced Custom Fields, Gutenberg blocks, and headless setups that begins at 3,00,000 BDT.
My work covers the third tier and, for larger Dhanmondi clients, the fourth. If you hand me Bangla and English copy plus product photos on day one, the 50,000 BDT tier holds. If I have to write your About page and shoot ten product mockups, that is a separate scope. I will tell you upfront which side of the line you sit on.
Adding WooCommerce to a brochure site is not a flip of a switch. Catalogue setup, payment gateway, shipping rules and order emails push a WordPress build from the 50,000 tier toward 1,50,000 BDT depending on product count.
First-year hosting on a Dhaka-friendly stack is roughly 8,000-15,000 BDT, billed separately and transparently. Optional monthly care (updates, backups, security) starts at 5,000 BDT a month. Build price stays clean of these.
Tier one is 50,000 BDT. You get a six-to-eight page WordPress site on a carefully picked premium theme, customised to your brand colours, fonts and imagery. Mobile-first, fast on a 4G phone signal from Dhanmondi Lake, contact form wired to your email, basic on-page SEO, Bangla and English ready, and a thirty-minute training video so your team can edit text and swap images without calling me. This tier suits most Dhanmondi clinics, salons, law firms, small consultancies and single-location restaurants. Hosting and domain billed separately so you actually own them.

Whichever tier fits, payment is 50 percent advance and 50 percent on launch, and I do not start design work until you have signed off on the scope document so the price never shifts under you.

Because they are installing a nulled (pirated) theme on shared hosting and walking away. It runs for a few months, then crashes, leaks data, or gets blacklisted by Google. The cost to clean up and rebuild later is always higher than what you saved. The 50,000 BDT floor exists because that is the lowest price at which a Dhanmondi WordPress site can be built properly and run reliably for years.
Fixed. After our discovery call I send a scope document listing every page, form, integration and feature with a single price next to it. You approve it, you pay 50 percent advance, work starts. The only thing that can change the price is if you add scope later (an extra page, a payment gateway you forgot about), and that is always a written add-on, never a surprise.
Not at the 50,000 BDT tier, because most brochure sites do not need it. If you are selling products or accepting deposits from Dhanmondi customers, I add bKash, Nagad and SSLCOMMERZ at the 1,50,000 BDT tier. I quote the gateway setup as a line item so you can see exactly what each integration costs.
