How to actually vet a redesign company before you pay the advance
In Chittagong, choosing a website redesign company is really one question: who keeps the keys?
Here is the part nobody warns you about before you hire a website redesign company in Chittagong. The redesign itself is the easy half. The hard half starts six months later, when you need one product page changed before a buyer meeting, you message the firm that rebuilt your site, and the WhatsApp number is dead — or the junior who did the work has left, or they want 8,000 taka and ten days for a change that should take an hour.
The site you paid 90,000 taka to rebuild is now a hostage again, this time in a newer-looking cell. So the real question to ask any redesign company in Chattogram is not 'how modern can you make it'. It is: when this is done, whose name is the domain in, whose account is the hosting on, and who picks up the phone next year? If a vendor cannot answer those three cleanly, the redesign is a trap no matter how good the mockups look.
The second thing to vet is who actually does the work, because in Chattogram the gap between who pitches and who builds is enormous. A 30-person agency off GEC sends a smooth account manager to win the project, then assigns your rebuild to a junior under two years in — the senior they showed you at the pitch is on a bigger-ticket job.
You find out only when the work comes back generic, the trade pages misunderstand how your business actually runs, and every revision has to climb back up through an account manager who was not in the room. With a one-person studio there is no telephone game. The person you brief on the first WhatsApp message is the person who audits your old site, designs the new one in Figma, writes the front-end code, and replies a year later when you need a line changed.

The third thing — and the one most Chattogram redesign vendors quietly get wrong — is what happens to your live site and your Google rankings during the rebuild. Your current site, slow and dated as it is, is still taking inquiries and still ranking for the terms buyers use. A careless redesign launches the new site over the old one in a single day, deletes the old URLs, and watches three years of rankings and a week of inquiries vanish. I do not do that.
I build the new site in staging while your live site keeps running and earning, map every old URL to its new equivalent, set 301 redirects, preserve the meta titles already working, and submit a fresh sitemap on launch day so Search Console never panics. You lose no inquiries during the build and you keep the rankings you already paid for — which, for a port-city firm whose foreign buyers find you through Google and export directories, is half the value of the whole project.
Pricing is plain and fixed, and it reads the same whether your invoice says Chattogram or Chittagong. Most redesigns land at 50,000 BDT for a focused rebuild of a small business site where the bones are okay but the design, copy and mobile need real work; 90,000 BDT for a mid-size trading or service firm with deeper content and a full copy rewrite; 1,50,000 BDT for a heavier corporate or bilingual multi-section rebuild.
Fully custom rebuilds with bespoke functionality — booking, member areas, custom dashboards — start from 3,00,000 BDT. Always 50% advance, 50% on launch via bKash, Nagad or bank transfer, and you never pay the balance until you have approved the full design in writing. No surprise invoice in month three, and no monthly fee to keep your own site running.
