About the pricing
Why a Dhanmondi website costs what it costs
If you have asked three different developers in Dhanmondi for a price on the same website, you have probably received three wildly different numbers. One quotes 18,000 BDT, one quotes 1,20,000 BDT, one quotes 4,50,000 BDT. The reason is not that one is honest and two are crooks. The reason is that nobody told you what is actually inside a website, so each person is selling a different thing and calling it by the same name.
A website development price in Dhanmondi reflects four hard costs and one soft one. The hard costs are: hours of senior development time, the design work that happens before the first line of code, the integrations you need (bKash, Nagad, Pathao, courier APIs, SMS gateways, Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics 4), and the hosting and security setup that keeps the site alive for the next two years. The soft cost is risk. Cheap developers shift risk onto you with vague scopes, no contract, no source code handover, and a habit of disappearing after the first invoice clears.
My pricing floor for a real, custom-coded business website is 50,000 BDT. Below that number, you are buying a free WordPress theme with your logo slapped on it, hosted on shared hosting that will groan the moment one Facebook ad lands. Above 3,00,000 BDT, you are paying for fully custom design, custom-coded features, complex integrations, or a multi-stage build that needs project management. Everything in between is a question of how many pages, how many features, and how much hand-holding your team needs.
I am a solo senior developer working out of Bangladesh with around five years of shipped client work. I write the quote, I do the design, I write the code, I deploy it, I hand over the source. Nobody is taking a 40 percent agency margin on my hours, which is why my prices for Dhanmondi clients come in lower than agencies on Road 27 while the actual code quality is the same or better.
