What 'expert' should actually mean
In Chittagong, 'expert' usually means a logo on a proposal. It should mean the person who'll still answer in month eight.
Here is the failure mode nobody puts in the contract. A trading firm in Agrabad or an importer near Khatunganj hires a 'website development expert,' has three good meetings with a sharp, senior-sounding person, signs, pays the advance - and then never speaks to that person again. The build gets handed to whoever is free. The site ships. Then a payment gateway breaks, or a product feed needs changing before a shipment, and the 'expert' is a WhatsApp message that goes blue-tick and silent. That gap between who you hired and who actually touched your site is the most expensive thing in this industry, and it is the thing I built my whole way of working to remove.
I am RH Fardin, a website development expert based in Bangladesh working with Chattogram businesses, and I work alone on purpose. The person you talk to in the first call is the person who writes the code, the person who pushes it live, and the person who fixes it when something goes sideways at 11pm before a client demo. There is no junior practising on your homepage and no project manager translating your request into a ticket someone misreads.
About five years of doing this has taught me that for a real business, continuity is worth more than a big team - because a big team is exactly how the knowledge of how your site works gets scattered until nobody owns it.
Port-city work has its own texture and I build for it. Your buyers are mostly on phones, often on mid-range Androids on patchy 4G between Agrabad and the port, and they will judge you in the three seconds before your site loads. A lot of your real money moves over WhatsApp and bKash or Nagad, not a card checkout, so I build sites that make those conversations and payments easy instead of forcing a Western flow nobody here uses. And if you're B2B - C&F, freight, import-export, manufacturing - I build for the long quote-and-relationship sale, not a generic 'add to cart' template pretending every business is a shop.
I will also tell you plainly when you do not need me. If a coffee shop near GEC wants three pages and a menu, paying an expert from 50,000 BDT is the wrong call and I'll say so. The reason to hire a website development expert in Chittagong is when the site has to actually carry weight - real integrations, real traffic, real revenue depending on it not breaking - and when you want one accountable person who will still understand the whole thing a year from now. That's the work I take, and that's the work I'm good at.
