The first question almost every Dhaka business owner asks is "website design er koto taka lagbe?" The honest answer in this city sits between 25,000 BDT (a college student with a free template) and 8-10 lakh BDT (a 15-person agency in Gulshan with account managers and overhead). My pricing lives in the middle of that range on purpose, because that is where the actual value is for a small or mid-sized business in Dhaka.

What that means for cost: my prices are higher than a freelancer in a Facebook group quoting 15,000 BDT, and noticeably lower than the named agencies in Banani or Gulshan quoting 5 lakh-plus for the same scope. You are paying for a senior person doing the work end-to-end, not for a sales team and a tower-block office.
Every quote I send is written, itemised, and locked. If you approve the 90,000 BDT business package, you pay 90,000 BDT — not 90,000 plus "hosting setup fee" plus "SSL" plus "content migration" the way it usually goes.

If you have asked three different people in Dhaka for a website quote, you have probably seen prices from 15,000 BDT to 4,00,000 BDT for what sounds like the same job. The reason is not greed or naivety — it is what is actually being delivered.
A 15,000 BDT quote is almost always a free WordPress theme with your logo dropped in, hosted on a shared package the freelancer also resells, with no real SEO setup, no Core Web Vitals work, and no support after the file is handed over. A 4,00,000 BDT agency quote includes a project manager, a separate UI designer, a developer, a QA person, and the cost of their office near Gulshan-2. Both can technically "build a website." Neither is right for most owner-operated businesses in Dhaka.
What actually drives cost in this market: number of unique page templates (not page count — 10 pages using 2 templates is cheap, 5 pages using 5 templates is not), whether copy is supplied or written for you, custom illustration or stock imagery, integrations like bKash payment, Nagad, courier APIs for delivery, multi-language (Bangla and English) handling, and whether SEO is bolted on after or built into the design from day one.
My quotes break each of these out so you can see exactly what you are paying for and what to drop if the budget is tight. If 50,000 BDT is firm, we ship a great 5-page site. We do not pretend to ship a 15-page ecommerce store at that price and then deliver something half-finished.

Anything quoted under 25,000 BDT in Dhaka is almost certainly a copy-paste template with no support.
Because at 20,000 BDT the freelancer cannot afford to do real work — that is roughly a few days of senior time in Dhaka after hosting, domain and tools are paid for. You usually get a free Envato theme, no SEO setup, no analytics, and no one answering when something breaks in month two. My 50,000 BDT covers about 3-4 weeks of senior work plus the first 30 days of support.
The scope is negotiable, the rate is not. If 90,000 BDT is too high, we drop pages or features and bring the price down honestly. I will not discount the same scope by 30% just to win a project — that always ends in cut corners.
Yes. 50% advance and 50% on launch are payable via bKash merchant, Nagad, or direct bank transfer (Dutch-Bangla, City Bank, BRAC Bank — your choice). For amounts over 2,00,000 BDT I prefer bank transfer for receipt and accounting reasons.
First year of hosting and a .com or .com.bd domain are included in all packages. From year two, hosting is around 6,000-12,000 BDT/year depending on the plan, and you pay the provider directly — I do not mark up hosting like some Dhaka agencies do.
First 30 days post-launch: free small tweaks (text, image swaps, minor bug fixes). After that, small changes are 2,000-5,000 BDT each or you can take a retainer at 15,000 BDT/month for ongoing edits, content uploads, and basic SEO maintenance.
