Website Design and Development Price in Dhaka

What a real website actually costs in Dhaka

Most price quotes you get in Dhaka are either WhatsApp-vague ("bhai 15,000 e hoye jabe") or agency-inflated with line items you do not need. Here is the honest breakdown of website design and development price in Dhaka, what every taka pays for, and where I draw the line between cheap, fair and overpriced.

Who quotes you the price

Pricing built by the same person who builds your site

The cheapest website design and development quote you will get in Dhaka is around 8,000-15,000 BDT. The most expensive will cross 5,00,000 BDT for a basic 8-page corporate site. Both are real. Neither tells you anything useful unless someone explains what is actually inside the number — and almost nobody in this market does, because vague pricing is how agencies protect their margins.

I am RH Fardin, a senior website designer and developer working solo out of Dhaka for the last ~5 years. I do not run a sales team that promises one thing and then hands you to a junior who delivers another. The person quoting you the price is the same person designing, coding and shipping the site, which is why I can name a real floor — 50,000 BDT — and three real tiers without hiding anything in a "we will discuss after the meeting" clause.

Most clients who come to this page have already spoken to two or three other vendors. They have a 12,000 BDT quote from a freelancer in Mirpur, a 45,000 BDT quote from someone on Facebook, and a 2,80,000 BDT quote from a Banani agency. They want to know which one is fair. The answer is usually "none of them, but here is what fair looks like and why." That is what this page is for.

Pricing in Dhaka is also a trust signal. If a vendor will not put a number in writing before the first meeting, that is a vendor protecting their right to negotiate based on how desperate you look. I price the opposite way: published tiers, written scope, 50% advance, 50% on launch, paid via bKash, Nagad, or bank transfer. No "final price" surprises after you have already paid the deposit.

What's included

What the price actually buys you

Six things baked into every tier — none of them are upsells, all of them are why 50,000 BDT is the floor, not the average.

01

Real Custom Design

Every page is designed for your business in Figma first, not a Themeforest template with your logo dropped on. You approve the design before a single line of code is written.

02

Mobile-First Build

Roughly 80% of your Dhaka visitors are on a mid-range Android over patchy 4G. The site is designed for that phone first, then scaled up to desktop — not the other way around.

03

Bangla + English Ready

Proper Bangla typography (SolaimanLipi, Hind Siliguri, Noto Bangla — whichever fits the brand), correct line-height, and bilingual structure if you need both languages live from day one.

04

Local Payment Wiring

If your tier includes payments, bKash, Nagad, Rocket and SSLCommerz are integrated and tested with real test transactions — not just "installed" and handed over to break later.

05

Speed That Survives Dhaka

Compressed images, lazy-loaded sections, cached pages. The site loads under 3 seconds on 4G in Mohakhali and Dhanmondi, where most of your buyers actually are.

06

Handover, Not Hostage

You own the domain, the hosting, the admin login, the CMS, and the code. No "if you leave us, the site breaks." That is the most common scam in Dhaka and I refuse to play it.

In focus

What actually drives website design and development price in Dhaka

Price in this market is set by four real cost drivers, not by how fancy the agency office looks. First is design depth — a 5-page brochure site with one layout pattern is genuinely cheaper to design than a 12-page site with a custom homepage, a services hub, a blog and a case-study template. Second is functionality — a contact form is free, a booking calendar with conditional logic and bKash deposit is two weeks of work.

Third is content — if you have copy ready in Bangla and English, we move fast; if I have to draft it, that is extra time billed honestly. Fourth is the build approach — a clean WordPress site on a customised theme is one number, a fully custom Next.js build with a headless CMS is roughly 3-4x that. Most Dhaka businesses do not need the second one, and I will tell you that on the call instead of selling you up.

Here are the real tiers, in writing. Starter at 50,000 BDT — up to 5 pages, custom design, mobile-responsive, basic contact form, on-page SEO setup, 7-14 day delivery. Business at 90,000 BDT — up to 10 pages, deeper design system, blog or news section, lead-capture forms, Google Analytics + Search Console, basic schema markup, 3-4 week delivery. Pro at 1,50,000 BDT — up to 18 pages, advanced sections (team, case studies, pricing, FAQ), multilingual setup, light ecommerce (up to 20 products) or a booking module, performance tuning, 4-6 week delivery.

Anything beyond that — heavy ecommerce, custom web apps, multi-vendor marketplaces, ERP integration — starts at 3,00,000 BDT and is quoted after a proper scoping call. Payment is always 50% advance to start, 50% on launch, via bKash, Nagad, or bank — your choice.

Frequently asked

The questions every Dhaka client asks before they pay the advance.

Dhaka te ekta website design and development er price koto taka?

My floor is 50,000 BDT for a real custom 5-page site. The three published tiers are 50,000 BDT (starter, up to 5 pages), 90,000 BDT (business, up to 10 pages with blog and forms), and 1,50,000 BDT (pro, up to 18 pages with multilingual and light ecommerce or booking). Fully custom projects — heavy ecommerce, web apps, marketplaces — start at 3,00,000 BDT and are quoted after a scoping call. Anyone in Dhaka quoting under 25,000 BDT for design + development is either selling you a recycled template with no support, or they are about to disappear after the advance.

Why is your starter 50,000 BDT when I can find 10,000 BDT quotes on Facebook?

Because at 10,000 BDT in Dhaka, someone is buying a 15 USD template, swapping your logo in, hosting it on a shared server they do not control, and moving on to the next client by Friday. There is no design phase, no revisions, no proper SEO setup, no handover documentation, and usually no response to your WhatsApp three months later when the site breaks. 50,000 BDT pays for the actual design and development work, not just a file delivery. If your budget is genuinely 10-15,000 BDT, I would honestly tell you to use Wix or Shopify directly and skip the middleman.

Is GST or VAT included in your price?

The published tiers are exclusive of VAT. If your business is VAT-registered and you need a Mushak challan, 15% VAT is added to the invoice and goes directly to the NBR. If you do not need a formal invoice (most small businesses in Dhaka do not), the price stays as quoted. We agree on this before the contract, not after.

Can I pay in installments instead of 50% advance, 50% on launch?

For the Pro tier (1,50,000 BDT) and custom projects (3,00,000 BDT+), I can split into three payments — 40% advance, 30% at design approval, 30% on launch. For Starter and Business tiers, I keep it 50/50 because the project is too short for milestone billing to make sense. All payments through bKash, Nagad, or direct bank transfer to my Bangladesh account.

Does the price include domain and hosting for the first year?

Yes — a .com domain (around 1,500 BDT/year) and one year of solid shared hosting suitable for the tier (around 5,000-8,000 BDT/year) are included in every package. After year one, you renew directly with the provider in your name — I never hold your domain or hosting hostage. If you want a .com.bd domain (BTCL registration), that has separate paperwork and a higher cost, and I will walk you through it.

What is NOT included in these prices?

Honest list: ongoing monthly maintenance (optional retainer from 5,000 BDT/month), paid stock photography or custom photoshoots, professional copywriting beyond light editing of your draft, paid Bangla font licenses for premium families, third-party app subscriptions (email tools, chat widgets, premium plugins), and any major scope additions after design approval. Everything that IS included is written into the contract before you pay the advance, so there are no surprises.
