Pricing the build, not the brochure
In a port city, half of you are quoting a website but need software
Chattogram doesn't run on brochures. It runs on consignments, clearing charges, LC documents, supplier lists and order books that change by the hour. So when an importer near Agrabad or a wholesaler off Khatunganj asks me what web development costs, the price almost always hinges on one fork they haven't thought about yet: do you need a website people read, or a tool that does part of your job? Those are two different products with two honest prices, and most quotes in this city blur the line on purpose — they sell you the cheap one and hope you don't notice the gap until after launch.
I'm RH Fardin, a solo senior web developer working out of Bangladesh, and I split that fork out loud before you pay anything. The web development cost in Chittagong I work to starts at 50,000 BDT for a real, fast, properly-built business site. The three standard tiers are 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT, and once a build crosses into genuine software — order tracking, a customer or dealer login, inventory that talks to your stock, custom integrations — it's a custom project from 3,00,000 BDT.
The number isn't a mystery. It tracks exactly how much the site has to *do*, and I'll tell you which side of the line your business is on in the first call.
Because it's one senior operator writing the code, that price doesn't carry a payroll. I personally handle discovery, architecture, the build, the on-page SEO and the launch — there is no Agrabad office to fund, no account manager, and no junior quietly assigned to your project the day after your advance clears. Around five years of shipping for Bangladeshi businesses means I can look at a port-city operation and estimate the real engineering hours fast, instead of padding a guess. You're paying for the build, not for the building it sits in.
Payment is 50 percent advance to start and 50 percent on launch — and the second half is genuinely due on launch day, not chased out of you early. Before any of that, the design-approval guarantee fixes the look so the price can't quietly balloon into a redesign you never asked for. You can pay the advance by bKash or Nagad, or bank transfer for the larger tiers. No port-city surcharge, no surprise SSL invoice in month two, no quiet hosting commission. The scope is written down, and the number you approve is the number you pay.
