The second is the development fee, paid to whoever builds it. The third is the app stack, paid to a dozen outside tools every month. Standard terms for every tier are 50% advance to start and 50% on launch. I never ask for the full amount upfront. The advance covers design, theme work and product import. The balance is due when the store is live and tested on mobile. You must also have approved the checkout flows for bKash, Nagad and card.
Because I am a solo senior developer, not an agency. There is no project manager layer and no junior-to-senior handoff. There is no overhead split across departments. Three things move the number. The first is product count, since over 100 SKUs needs bulk import work. The second is how many custom Liquid sections you need beyond the theme defaults. The base tier price is what you pay for the base scope.
Not for the Starter or Growth tiers. I use Shopify's free Dawn theme as a base and customize it heavily with Liquid. That gives a faster store than most paid themes anyway. For the Pro tier, you may want a paid theme as a base, like Impulse or Prestige. Those usually cost USD 280 to 380 one time. You buy it and I build on it. Otherwise, the custom sections cover the same ground.
