Portfolio Website Development in Dhaka

Portfolio website development in Dhaka, hand-built by one senior developer so your work loads in two seconds and the right client messages you before they overthink it.

A portfolio is the one site where slow load, broken Bangla type, or a dead contact button costs you the job directly. I build portfolio websites in Dhaka for freelancers, designers, photographers, architects, consultants and remote job-seekers who need a fast, owned site — not a Wix page or a marketplace theme. From 50,000 BDT, 50% advance via bKash or Nagad, 50% on launch, and you approve the design before any code is written.

Solo senior developer, ~5 years building sites in Bangladesh. Hand-coded, mobile-first, and you own every file. Reply on WhatsApp in hours, not days.

About RH Fardin

The build is what decides whether your Dhaka portfolio loads before the client leaves

Picture how the job actually comes to you in Dhaka. Your name gets dropped in a WhatsApp group, a Gulshan meeting, or a LinkedIn DM, and the person taps your link on their phone — usually on 4G, usually between two other things.

You now have a few seconds while a developer's choices decide your fate: whether the hero image renders before they lose patience near Mohakhali, whether your Bangla headline breaks into boxes on their cheap Android, whether the WhatsApp button actually opens a chat or just sits there as dead text. Most portfolio websites in Dhaka lose the lead in those few seconds, and it is almost never the design taste — it is the engineering underneath it.

A good-looking portfolio website in Dhaka still fails if it cannot render before that thumb scrolls away.

I am RH Fardin, a solo website designer and developer based in Bangladesh. For roughly five years I have built portfolio websites for Dhaka professionals — graphic and motion designers in Dhanmondi, wedding and product photographers in Bashundhara, architects in Gulshan, consultants and lawyers in Banani, plus developers, marketers and UX folks chasing remote and overseas roles. I personally write the code, tune the images, wire the contact flow, run the speed pass, and ship it. There is no junior building your site off a template while a senior name sits on the invoice.

Portfolio web development in Dhaka has a few hard rules a template can never satisfy. Your gallery has to serve modern image formats at the right size so a photographer's 50 shots do not burn a visitor's data on Banglalink. The first meaningful paint has to land under two seconds on a mid-range phone, not just on the fibre in your studio. The Bangla and English type both have to hold without breaking. And the whole thing has to be code you own — not rented inside someone else's platform that can change its rules or its price next month. I build for those constraints first, because in a portfolio they are the difference between a reply and a closed tab.

Pricing is fixed and stated up front. 50,000 BDT for a focused single-page portfolio with a curated gallery and a working contact flow. 90,000 BDT for a multi-page build with individual case-study pages, a blog and a simple CMS you can edit yourself. 1,50,000 BDT for a senior personal-brand site with custom interactions, Bangla/English and a proper editing system. Fully custom builds — bespoke animation, headless CMS, member areas — start at 3,00,000 BDT. Payment is 50% advance via bKash, Nagad or bank transfer, 50% on launch, and the design-approval guarantee means you sign off on the look before I write production code.

What's included

What portfolio website development in Dhaka gets you when one senior developer does the whole build

Six engineering decisions that decide whether a stranger in Dhaka messages you or closes the tab — none of which a $49 template handles for you.

01

Two-Second Load

Hand-coded and tuned so the first meaningful paint lands under two seconds on a mid-range Android over Dhaka 4G. A portfolio that appears after six seconds has already lost the client, however good the work is.

02

Image Pipeline For Galleries

Your work is served in WebP and AVIF at sized resolutions with lazy loading, so a photographer's full gallery opens fast in Mirpur without eating the visitor's data or patience.

03

Contact That Actually Fires

A floating WhatsApp button with a pre-filled message, click-to-call, and a short form that emails you instantly. The channel Dhaka clients actually use, wired and tested — not a 12-field form nobody finishes.

04

Bangla And English, Unbroken

Proper Bangla typography with font fallbacks that hold on any device, alongside clean English for overseas clients. Run one language or both — built correctly either way, not bolted on.

05

Hand-Coded, Not Rented

Clean HTML, CSS and JavaScript or Next.js — not a WordPress theme stuffed with 20 plugins or a page locked inside Wix. It loads fast, ranks for your name, and still works in a year.

06

You Own The Code

Domain in your name, hosting in your account, every source file handed over at launch. If we part ways, you walk with a working site, not a login you cannot export from.

In focus

The engineering gap between a portfolio that books work and a pretty page that never loads

Here is the part most people in Dhaka discover the expensive way: a portfolio can look perfect in a Figma screenshot and still fail the only test that matters — opening fast and working on a stranger's phone. The difference is entirely in the build. An uncompressed hero image that looks fine on your studio fibre becomes a four-second blank screen on a recruiter's 4G near Farmgate. A pile of plugins or a heavy page builder adds a second of script before your first project even renders.

A contact form wired to nothing, or a WhatsApp link that never got the country code right, quietly drops every lead that liked your work. None of these are design problems — they are development problems, and they are exactly what gets skipped when a portfolio is assembled from a template instead of built. This is why I treat speed, the image pipeline and the contact flow as the core of the job, not a polish step at the end.

There is also a money argument that is specific to who orders these in Dhaka. A lot of my portfolio clients are not buying a brochure — they are buying a tool that wins paid work, often from abroad. A freelance designer landing one overseas client through Upwork or a referral, a photographer booking one destination wedding, a consultant signing one retainer — any single win usually covers the 50,000 to 90,000 BDT build several times over.

That is a completely different calculation from a free Linktree or a 12,000-taka marketplace theme, which cost less precisely because they cannot do this: they will not load fast enough, rank for your name, present your work as cases, or survive a platform changing its rules. If the portfolio is genuinely how you get clients, the right question is not what it costs to build — it is how many leads the cheap version is silently losing every month while it sits there looking fine.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions Dhaka professionals actually ask before commissioning a portfolio build — starting with the one everyone asks first.

Portfolio website development Dhaka — koto taka porbe?

The floor is 50,000 BDT for a focused single-page portfolio: a fast work-first home, a curated gallery of up to 8 pieces, an about section, and a contact flow with WhatsApp. 90,000 BDT adds individual case-study pages, a blog and a simple CMS you can update yourself. 1,50,000 BDT covers custom interactions, Bangla/English and a full editing system. Fully custom builds start at 3,00,000 BDT. Payment is 50% advance via bKash, Nagad or bank transfer, and 50% on launch.

If someone in a Facebook group is quoting 12,000-20,000 taka for a 'custom' portfolio, it is a renamed marketplace template — and the build quality is the whole reason you are paying for this.

I can build a free portfolio on Wix, Linktree or Notion — why pay a developer in Dhaka?

Two reasons a free builder cannot solve: performance and ownership. Drag-and-drop builders load heavy scripts, so your page is slower on the exact 4G connection a Dhaka recruiter or client opens it on — and speed is what decides whether they stay. They also rent you a slot inside their platform: they can change the rules, the price, or the layout, and you cannot export a clean site. Good portfolio web design in Dhaka is wasted if it sits on a slow builder; a hand-coded portfolio on your own domain loads in two seconds, ranks for your name on Google, and is yours to keep. Use Linktree and Behance as feeders that point to the one URL you actually control.

How long does it take to build a portfolio website?

Single-page portfolio: about 2 weeks from approved design. Multi-page with case studies and a CMS: 3 to 4 weeks. Custom builds with animation or a headless setup: 5 to 8 weeks depending on scope. The clock starts once you have signed off on the design and supplied your images and copy. If your work still needs gathering or you want help structuring case studies, I build that into the timeline before we start so the launch date is real.

Will the site genuinely load fast on mobile and slow data in Dhaka?

That is the baseline, not an upgrade. I test every build on a mid-range Android over throttled 4G — the kind of connection you get in a CNG near Farmgate, not the fibre in your office. Images are served in WebP and AVIF at sized resolutions with lazy loading, JavaScript stays minimal, and the first meaningful paint usually lands under two seconds. For a portfolio whose visitors are on phones, that is the entire point — a beautiful page that takes seven seconds to appear is a failed build.

I am in Dhaka applying for remote and overseas roles — will the build hold up for foreign clients?

Yes — that is a large part of the work I do. The site is hand-coded to an international standard at a Dhaka price: it loads fast on a recruiter's connection in London or Toronto, presents your strongest work as real case studies instead of a thumbnail wall, and ranks for your name when someone Googles you after a call. Bangla support is there if you want it, but the build is set up so a foreign hiring manager sees a fast, considered, professional site — not something that reads as a cheap template.

After launch, who owns the site and handles hosting and updates?

You own all of it. The domain is registered in your name and hosting sits in your account from day one, with every source file handed over at launch — no hostage situation. Optional care plans for adding new projects, content updates and security patches start at 3,000 BDT per month, billed quarterly. Prefer to manage it yourself? I hand over a short walkthrough and clean documentation so you can add work without calling me. No lock-in either way.
