Online Store Development in Chittagong

Online store development in Chittagong, built by the person who actually ships it.

Most Chittagong businesses don't need a prettier website. They need a store that takes an order at 11pm on a Banglalink connection, holds stock straight, and hands a clean parcel to the courier the next morning. That is the thing I build.

One senior developer. Five years of shipping stores for port-city sellers. 50% to start, 50% the day it goes live.

What "online store development" actually means once you're selling in Chittagong

The first real order is where most Chittagong stores fall apart. A buyer in Halishahar adds three items, the page reloads on mobile data, the cart empties, and they're gone — they don't email you, they just leave. I've rebuilt enough of these to know the failure is never the homepage. It's the checkout, the stock count, and the handoff to the courier. So that's where online store development in Chittagong actually starts for me: the boring machinery behind the buy button, not the banner on top of it.

Here's the part nobody quotes you on. A store isn't a website with a cart bolted on — it's a small operating system for your shop. Products with real variants (size, colour, the same kameez in four prints), stock that goes down when something sells so you don't oversell the last piece, an admin you can run from your phone at the counter in Reazuddin Bazaar, and an order list that tells you what to pack tomorrow. Get that right and the store runs your shop. Get it wrong and you're back to taking orders in Messenger and losing track by Thursday.

I work the way a port-city seller actually operates. You probably sell three ways at once — walk-ins, a Facebook page, and now online — and inventory has to agree across all of it. You ship nationwide through Steadfast or RedX from a city built on moving goods, so COD and courier weight matter more than they would for a Dhaka boutique. And your buyers will judge the whole thing in ten seconds on a phone. I build for that reality first, then make it look sharp — not the other way round.

It's me start to finish. I scope it, design it, build the catalogue, wire the payments, test the checkout on a real phone on real mobile data, and hand you something you can run without calling anyone. No account manager, no junior learning on your project, no "the developer who built it has left." When something needs changing six months in, you message the person who wrote the code — and that's worth more than it sounds when your store is the thing taking the money.

What's included

What you're actually paying for

Not a theme with your logo on it. A working store, built around how selling actually happens in Chittagong.

01

Checkout that holds

The cart survives a page reload and a dropped 4G signal mid-order. The single most common way a Chittagong store loses a sale is a checkout that forgets — yours won't.

02

Stock that's honest

Inventory counts down as items sell, so you never confirm an order for the last piece that's already gone. One source of truth across the shop, the page, and the site.

03

Built for COD

Cash-on-delivery is how most port-city buyers still pay, so the order flow and courier handoff are built around it — clean parcel data for Steadfast or RedX, not an afterthought.

04

bKash & Nagad

Personal or merchant — I wire whatever you actually use so a buyer can pay on the spot. No "transfer first and send a screenshot" friction that kills the order.

05

Variants done right

Sizes, colours, prints, packs — modelled properly so customers pick the exact thing and you're not fielding ten messages a day asking "which sizes do you have?"

06

An admin you'll use

Add a product, drop a price, mark an order shipped — from your phone at the counter, in plain Bangla-friendly terms. If you can run a Facebook page, you can run this.

In focus

The day after launch is the part that matters

Most store projects are quoted as if launch day is the finish line. It isn't — it's day one of you actually selling. The real test comes the morning after, when the first ten orders are sitting in the admin and you have to turn them into ten parcels. Can you see, at a glance, what to pack? Does each order carry the right address and phone number for the courier slip? When you mark something shipped, does the buyer get told? When a COD parcel comes back undelivered, can you put the stock back without it turning into a guessing game? Those are the moments a Chittagong store earns its money, and they're exactly the moments a cheap template ignores.

So I build for the unglamorous middle of the operation, because that's where a port-city store lives or dies. Orders export clean for whichever courier you use. Stock and orders stay in agreement so a returned parcel doesn't quietly leave you oversold. The admin is something you can actually drive at the counter, not a dashboard you need me to translate. I've watched too many sellers in Agrabad and around GEC get a good-looking store that became a second full-time job to operate — and I'd rather build you one that takes work off your plate than one that adds it. A store should run your shop. If it makes you the store's assistant, it was built wrong.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

The questions Chittagong shop owners actually ask me before we start.

Online store development Chittagong-te koto taka? What's the real starting price?

It starts at 50,000 BDT, and that's a genuine floor — a real store with a working catalogue, checkout, bKash/Nagad, COD, and an admin you can run yourself, not a stripped demo. Tiers run 50,000 / 90,000 / 1,50,000 BDT depending on how many products, how complex the variants, and how much you want automated. A fully custom build starts at 3,00,000 BDT. Payment is 50% to start and 50% the day it goes live. If someone quotes 12,000, ask them who packs your orders the morning after launch.

What makes the price jump between the 50,000 and the 1,50,000 tier?

Three things, mostly: catalogue size, variant complexity, and automation. A shop with 40 products and simple sizes is the lower tier. Hundreds of SKUs with colour-and-size combos, bulk pricing for wholesale buyers, automated courier exports, and tighter stock logic push it up. I'll tell you straight which tier your shop actually needs — I'm not going to sell you the 1,50,000 build if 50,000 runs your business fine, and I won't pretend 50,000 covers it if your catalogue genuinely needs more.

I already sell on a Facebook page in Chittagong. Why do I need a real store?

A page is great for reach and terrible for running an operation. Orders live in your DMs, stock lives in your head, and the moment you're doing 20 a day you're losing track — confirming things you've already sold, missing messages, no record of who ordered what. A proper store gives you one order list, real stock counts, and a checkout that works while you sleep. Keep the page for marketing. Let the store do the bookkeeping you're currently doing by hand.

I run a shop in Reazuddin Bazaar and ship nationwide. Will the courier and COD side actually work?

Yes — that's the part I care about most. Each order carries clean, complete data for the courier slip, so handing parcels to Steadfast or RedX is a copy-paste, not a re-type. COD is treated as the default payment, because in the port city it still is. And returns put stock back where it belongs so an undelivered parcel doesn't leave you oversold. Shipping from Chittagong to the whole country is a solved problem in this build, not a hope.

How long does it take, and who actually builds it?

A standard store is roughly two to four weeks once I have your products and payment details — longer if the catalogue is large or the variants are complex. I build it: scope, design, catalogue, payments, and testing the checkout on a real phone on real mobile data before it goes anywhere near your customers. You're not handed off to a team. The person who writes the code is the person you message later when you want a change.

I'm in Chittagong — do I have to meet at an office, or does remote work?

Remote works completely, and most of my Chittagong clients never meet me in person. We sort it over WhatsApp, calls, and a shared link to the store as it comes together, so you watch it being built and approve the look before I go deep. There's a design-approval step built in — you sign off on the design before development, so you're never surprised at the end. Being one focused developer over WhatsApp gets you faster answers than chasing an agency in Agrabad through a project manager.
