You message a Bashundhara agency asking the price of a 'mobile app like Foodpanda' and you get a 12,00,000 BDT figure with a 4-month timeline. You ask a Fiverr seller for the same thing and the price drops to 25,000 BDT with a 10-day timeline. Both quotes are technically real, and both are useless — because nobody told you what they're actually building. One is a real Flutter app on the Play Store. The other is a WordPress site stuffed inside a free Cordova wrapper that Google will flag within a week. The 'mobile app development price in Dhaka' question has no honest answer until someone sits with you and defines what 'app' means for your specific business.

The four things that really move the number in Bangladesh are: how many user roles you need (a single-customer app is cheap; a customer-plus-vendor-plus-delivery marketplace is not), which payment gateways you integrate (bKash and Nagad each need their own merchant account, KYC paperwork, and sandbox testing — that's real engineering hours, not a tickbox), whether the app needs to work offline on a 2G connection in a Mirpur basement (PWAs can; cheap web wrappers can't), and whether you need a Bangla admin panel for staff who don't read English.
A 50,000 BDT PWA and a 1,50,000 BDT custom web app can have the exact same number of screens — the price gap is hiding in those four decisions.
The other honest factor is who you're hiring. A 25,000 BDT quote from a Facebook page seller usually means a WordPress theme wrapped in a free converter — Google removed thousands of those apps from the Play Store in 2024, and yours will be next. A 12,00,000 BDT quote from a big Gulshan agency usually includes the cost of their account manager, their project manager, their three junior developers, and their office rent in Gulshan-2.
