About this freelance Shopify expert in Chittagong
In Chittagong, almost everyone who claims to be a Shopify expert has only ever installed a theme
Here is the trap a Chattogram seller walks into. You search for a Shopify expert, you find someone local who quotes a fair number, and what you actually get is a free theme switched on, your logo dropped in the header, three random apps installed and an invoice. It looks done.
Then six weeks later a Shopify theme update lands, a section disappears, an app starts conflicting with your cart, and the person who set it up has no idea why because they never opened the theme code in their life. They were never a Shopify expert. They were a theme installer who learned five settings screens. The gap between those two things is exactly where your store quietly starts losing orders, and it is the gap I built this around.
Being an actual freelance Shopify expert means knowing the parts of the platform that do not have a settings toggle. It means reading and writing Liquid so a section bends to your products instead of you bending your products to a template. It means knowing that Shopify's checkout is locked down hard on the basic plans, so adding a bKash instruction block or a cash-on-delivery rule has to be done a specific way or it simply will not hold.
It means looking at your app stack and telling you that two of the four apps you are paying dollars for every month do nothing a line of Liquid could not do for free. A theme installer cannot tell you any of that, because they have never had to.
There is a Chittagong-specific reason this matters more here than people admit. Plenty of Shopify "experts" treat Chattogram as a remote afterthought, the same store a Dhaka shop would get, sometimes at a Dhaka markup, built by someone who has never thought about how an Agrabad or Khulshi buyer behaves. But this is a trading city.
A lot of what sells here moves through the port and Khatunganj, the buyer haggles harder, scrolls on a mid-range Android between GEC Circle traffic, and decides whether to trust your store in the first few seconds. An expert who builds for that is making different decisions in the theme code and the checkout than one who is just reusing a Dhaka template with your name on it.
I am RH Fardin, a website designer and developer in Bangladesh with around five years of full-time work behind me, and I run this solo on purpose. The person who answers your first koto-taka message is the person who writes your Liquid, configures your checkout and picks up the phone when something needs changing after launch. My Shopify stores start at 50,000 BDT, with tiers at 90,000 and 1,50,000 BDT as the catalogue and theme depth grow, and fully custom builds from 3,00,000 BDT.
Terms are 50% advance and 50% on launch, you formally approve the design before I write a line of code, and I will always tell you the one cost most installers hide: Shopify's own subscription and apps are billed by Shopify in dollars, separate from my fee. If the numbers are not there yet, I will say keep selling on Facebook plus bKash and come back when the volume justifies it.
