Ecommerce Website Design in Uttara

An Uttara online store designed to turn cart-abandoners into confirmed bKash payments.

I design ecommerce websites for Uttara businesses — boutiques in Sector 7, electronics shops near Jasimuddin, salons on Garib-e-Newaz Avenue, food brands inside Rajlokkhi Complex. Mobile-first checkout, bKash and Nagad built in, COD with real fraud-filter logic, and product pages that survive a 3G connection on the 11.30pm Uttara-Motijheel commute home.

Solo senior designer. Around 5 years building stores in Bangladesh. Pricing starts at 50,000 BDT with 50% advance, balance on launch.

About the designer

Uttara ecommerce isn't built on Dribbble shots. It's built on what your buyer will tap on a slow phone at 9pm.

Uttara is one of the few areas in Dhaka where the online shopper and the offline shopper are literally the same person. A woman in Sector 4 will scroll your Instagram, message your page, ask 'cash on delivery ache?', and then drive past your physical shop on Sonargaon Janapath the next day to verify you're real. Your ecommerce site is the trust bridge between those two visits. Most stores I audit in Uttara fail at that one job — the site looks expensive but the checkout asks for 11 fields and breaks when she switches from WiFi to GP data.

I am RH Fardin. I design and build ecommerce websites end-to-end for Uttara businesses — no agency middle layer, no junior handoff. Around five years in, almost entirely on Bangladesh stores, which means I have spent a lot of evenings debugging bKash IPN callbacks and figuring out why Pathao courier API kept rejecting Sector 11 addresses. That hands-on knowledge is what gets baked into the store I build for you.

My ecommerce builds run on WordPress + WooCommerce or Shopify, depending on what your team can actually maintain after launch. WooCommerce wins when you want full control over delivery zones (separate rates for Uttara, inside-Dhaka, outside-Dhaka), bKash/Nagad/Rocket toggles, and product feeds for Facebook Catalog ads. Shopify wins when you want zero server headache and your catalog is under 200 SKUs. I will tell you straight which one fits — not the one that pays me a recurring license commission.

Pricing is honest because I won't pretend Uttara rents are cheap. A working store starts at 50,000 BDT (small catalog, one payment gateway, basic delivery rules). 90,000 BDT gets you a properly designed store with bKash + Nagad + COD, full product schema for Google, and abandoned-cart recovery. 1,50,000 BDT is the serious tier with category landing pages, Facebook Catalog feed, GA4 + Pixel + Conversion API, and the kind of polish that justifies premium pricing on your products. Custom builds start at 3,00,000 BDT. 50% advance, 50% on launch — no monthly retainer trap.

What's included

What you actually get

Six things that decide whether an Uttara ecommerce site makes money or just exists.

01

bKash, Nagad, Rocket live

Real gateway integration, not a 'send to this number' textbox. Buyer pays, order auto-confirms, you stop chasing payment screenshots in WhatsApp at midnight.

02

COD with fraud filter

Cash on delivery is 60-70% of Uttara orders. I add IP rate-limits, phone validation, and a repeat-fake-order blocklist so you stop paying Pathao return fees on prank orders.

03

Mobile-first product pages

Designed for a one-handed scroll on a 6-inch screen on 3G. Image swipe, sticky 'Order Now' button, and a price + size + COD line visible without scrolling.

04

Uttara delivery zones built in

Separate shipping rates for Uttara sectors, rest of Dhaka, and outside-Dhaka. Pathao and Steadfast API hooked up so labels print instead of being hand-written.

05

Catalog feed for Meta ads

Auto-syncing product feed to Facebook Catalog so your boosted posts and Advantage+ shopping campaigns pull live price and stock — no manual upload weekly.

06

Senior designer, one person

You message me, you get me. No project manager forwarding your bKash question to a junior who will reply in 4 days. Decisions in hours, not sprints.

In focus

Why most Uttara ecommerce stores leak money on the checkout page

I have audited maybe 40 Uttara online stores in the last two years — boutiques, gadget resellers, organic food brands, home decor shops, restaurants doing online ordering. The pattern is almost always the same. The homepage looks great. The product pages look fine. Then the checkout asks for: full name, phone, email, district, thana, full address, landmark, alternate phone, optional Facebook profile link, and 'how did you hear about us'.

On a Symphony or low-end Samsung over GP data, that form takes 90 seconds to fill and breaks if the keyboard covers the submit button. Your buyer gives up and messages your Facebook page instead — which now costs you a human reply, a payment-screenshot chase, and a Pathao label typed by hand.

The fix is not redesigning the logo. The fix is a three-field checkout (phone, address, payment method), bKash/Nagad/COD on a single tap, and an auto-fill that remembers returning buyers by phone number. That is what I build for Uttara stores. Combined with a properly structured catalog (Sector-7 boutique style: clear categories, real model photos, size charts in inches not just S/M/L), a working Facebook Catalog feed, and Pathao/Steadfast courier API integration — your store stops being a brochure and starts being a sales channel. That is the difference between an ecommerce website that pays for itself in a quarter and one that sits there at 1.2% conversion forever.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before we build.

Real questions Uttara business owners ask me before signing.

Ecommerce website design Uttara — koto taka?

Starts at 50,000 BDT for a small-catalog store (under 30 SKUs, one payment gateway, basic shipping zones). 90,000 BDT for a proper store with bKash + Nagad + COD + abandoned cart. 1,50,000 BDT for a serious build with Facebook Catalog feed, GA4 + Pixel + Conversion API, and category landing pages. Custom or large-catalog builds start at 3,00,000 BDT. 50% advance via bKash or bank, 50% on launch.

WooCommerce or Shopify for an Uttara store?

WooCommerce if you want full control over delivery zones (Sector 4 vs Sector 13 vs outside-Dhaka rates), all three local payment gateways, Pathao/Steadfast/RedX API, and no recurring app fees. Shopify if your catalog is under 200 SKUs, you don't want to touch a server, and you are okay paying USD monthly. I will recommend based on your team, not on what I get paid more to install.

Can you integrate bKash, Nagad and Rocket properly?

Yes — official Payment Gateway integration where buyer pays in-checkout and the order auto-confirms. Not the 'send taka to this number and we will check' workflow. I have done bKash Tokenized Checkout and PGW, Nagad merchant integration, and Rocket via SSLCOMMERZ aggregator. Aggregator setup (SSLCOMMERZ or AamarPay) covers all three with one onboarding if you want speed.

How do you handle Cash on Delivery fraud orders?

Three layers. One — phone number verification on checkout (OTP or call-back). Two — IP and device fingerprinting that blocks repeat fake orders. Three — a shared blocklist of known fake numbers in the Bangladesh COD ecosystem. It does not stop 100% of fraud, but on average it cuts return-to-origin (RTO) by 30-40%, which is real money on Pathao reverse charges.

Will my product images load fast on slow mobile internet?

Yes. Every product photo is auto-compressed to WebP, served at the exact pixel size the user's screen needs, and lazy-loaded. A product page under my build is usually 300-500 KB on first load instead of the 4-8 MB that most Uttara stores ship. That alone improves checkout completion on GP and Robi 3G in places like Diabari and the Uttara-Tongi border.

I have a physical shop in Uttara — should the website match it?

Visually yes, but functionally the website is a different beast. The site should show the shop address, Google Map pin, and 'visit our showroom' CTA prominently — because Uttara buyers do verify. But the storefront's pricing logic, checkout flow, and product structure should be built for online behaviour, not as a digital photocopy of your in-store catalog. I will design both to feel like one brand without forcing one to imitate the other.
