What 'expert' is supposed to mean
In Dhaka, 'expert' is the cheapest word on the page. Here is how to tell who actually is one.
Search for a digital marketing expert in Dhaka and you will find a hundred agencies. Each one calls its whole team an 'expert team of professionals', even the person who joined three weeks ago. The word is used so loosely in this market that it now means nothing. So before you pay anyone, ask one question that cuts through all of it.
When something goes wrong with my account at 9pm on a Thursday, who exactly opens it? If the answer is 'our team will look into it', you are not hiring an expert. You are hiring a queue. A real expert is one person you can name. You can check their work, and that person cannot hide behind a brand when a campaign does badly.
I am RH Fardin. I work as a solo digital marketing and Google Ads specialist, and I have done it hands-on for about five years. I work for businesses in Dhaka and for overseas clients. Those clients pay in dollars and expect work that holds up against agencies in their own country.
I do not have a junior. I do not have an account manager who passes messages between you and 'the team'. When you hire me, one person does it all. The person who checks your Search Console, writes your ads and reads your analytics is the one who answers your WhatsApp. There is exactly one layer between your business and the work: me.
Real skill in this field is narrow, not wide. Some agencies promise SEO, Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, branding, app building, billboards and PR. They are not staffed by ten experts, but by generalists who are shallow in all ten. I went deep on the two things that really move revenue for a Dhaka business. Those are paid ads (Google Ads and Meta) and organic search (SEO).
Everything else I do, like landing pages, sales copy and analytics, exists to make those two work harder. Sometimes your problem needs a channel I am not the best person for. If so, I will say it on the first call and point you to someone better. An expert's name is worth more than one extra invoice.
Skill shows up most in the questions, not the pitch. A salesperson asks for your budget. An expert asks what a customer is worth to you. He asks about your close rate on a phone enquiry versus a bKash prepayment. He asks if your busy season is Eid or wedding season. He asks what happens to a lead after the form is sent. A great ad campaign that feeds a broken follow-up process just burns your money faster.
That habit of diagnosis is what you are really paying for. I built it over five years and a few hundred Bangladeshi campaigns. The Google Ads login is easy. Knowing what to do inside it for a Dhaka business is the expensive part.
