College Website Development in Dhaka

Most college websites in Dhaka are not designed badly. They are developed badly — and that only shows up the week admission opens.

I am RH Fardin, a solo senior website designer and developer in Bangladesh. I do college website development in Dhaka end to end myself — admission section, notice board CMS, results display, faculty and department pages, the printable application form. No agency, no juniors, no handoff to someone who has never built a college site. Builds from 50,000 BDT, 50% advance and 50% on launch, with a design-approval guarantee before a single line of code is written.

One senior operator. Around five years developing Bangladesh websites. The developer who writes your notice board code is the same person who replies on WhatsApp when it breaks at 11 PM.

About the developer who actually writes the code

What "college website development in Dhaka" really means once admission week hits

Open the network tab on almost any Dhaka college site the night HSC results drop and you will see the real problem. A 4 MB hero image. Twelve separate font files. A jQuery slider loading three libraries to fade one photo of the principal. A notice board that is actually a folder of JPG screenshots someone uploaded one by one.

None of this is a design flaw — it is a development flaw, and it stays invisible until a guardian in Mirpur on a three-year-old Android phone tries to open your admission notice on Banglalink 4G and gives up after eight seconds. College web design in Dhaka gets all the attention; the development underneath it is where colleges quietly lose applicants.

I am RH Fardin, a solo website designer and developer with roughly five years building sites across Bangladesh, education included. The reason I separate development from design here is deliberate. When a college in Dhaka pays for a website, the pretty homepage is the easy 30 percent.

The hard 70 percent is the part nobody demos in the sales meeting — a results system a student can actually search by roll number, an admission form that emails the office reliably instead of silently failing, a notice CMS your office assistant can run from a phone, page weight light enough to load in Jatrabari, and a structure Google can index so guardians searching "admission [your college name]" actually find you. That is development, and that is where I spend my time.

There is no team behind this. The person who sits with your principal or IT focal in Dhanmondi, Uttara or Mohammadpur to scope the build is the same person who writes the PHP, structures the database, builds the Bangla-English language switching, tunes the caching and ships to your hosting. Nothing is forwarded to a junior. When the admission convener messages me on a Friday night to add a second-shift HSC section or fix a broken results link, I open the actual codebase and push the change. There is no ticket, no sprint, no "the developer who built that has left the company" — because the developer is me, and I do not leave.

Pricing stays honest because Dhaka colleges run on real, fixed budgets, not corporate retainers. 50,000 BDT is the floor: a focused, admission-ready college site, roughly 8 to 10 pages, with notice board, faculty list, results display and a mobile-first build. 90,000 BDT adds a properly bilingual build with real Bangla typography, gallery, alumni and governing-body pages, and a CMS your staff can run without calling me. 1,50,000 BDT is a flagship college portal — departments, hostel, library, transcript requests, full Dhaka SEO.

Genuinely custom development — National University result sync, online application with bKash, Nagad or SSLCommerz payment, student dashboards — starts from 3,00,000 BDT. Always 50% advance, 50% on launch. That is the whole commercial structure, no surprises.

What's included

What proper college website development in Dhaka actually delivers

Six development outcomes Dhaka college principals, IT focals and admission committees notice after launch — because the same senior who designed it also wrote and tested every line.

01

Built For Admission Load

The site is developed and load-tested for the spike between HSC result publication and the last application date. Caching, image handling and page weight are tuned so the admission notice opens in under three seconds on cheap Android over 4G in Mirpur or Jatrabari.

02

Reliable Admission Form

An application form that actually delivers — validated fields, file upload for SSC and HSC documents, and an email-on-submit that does not silently fail. Your office gets every applicant, not the 60 percent that survived a broken form.

03

Searchable Results System

A results display where a student finds their semester or test result by roll number instead of phoning your office, plus clean linking out to the National University and Education Board portals where it belongs.

04

Phone-Run Notice CMS

A notice board your office assistant updates from a phone in about 90 seconds — title, Bangla or English body, optional PDF, publish. No more uploading screenshots of paper notices shot under a tubelight.

05

Real Bilingual Engineering

Bangla and English handled at the code level from day one — correct webfonts, line-height per script, and language-switch URLs Google can index separately. Governing-body Bangla notices and the English honours syllabus both render cleanly on stock phone browsers.

06

Indexable Structure

Clean URLs, proper headings, fast load and schema where it helps, so guardians searching your college name plus "admission" actually land on your site instead of a Facebook post or a directory listing.

In focus

Why college sites in Dhaka break the second admission opens

The failure pattern is so consistent I can almost predict it before opening a college's site. A vendor wins the meeting with a clean homepage mockup, the principal approves the look, and development gets quietly outsourced to whoever is cheapest that month. They drop a generic theme on shared hosting, paste in the prospectus, wire up a contact form plugin nobody tests under real load, and call it done. It looks fine in April.

Then HSC results publish, a few thousand guardians hit the site in the same evening, the unoptimised images choke the bandwidth, the admission form starts timing out, and the office assistant who cannot post a notice without messaging the vendor goes silent because the vendor has moved on. By the next cycle the college is back to running admissions off a Facebook page and a phone number.

Proper college website development in Dhaka means engineering for that exact evening, not for the April demo. When I build a college website in Dhaka, I assume the worst realistic case from the start: an old Android phone, weak 4G in an outer area, a guardian who is impatient and comparing you against two other colleges in adjacent tabs. So the build is light, the form is bulletproof, the results lookup works, and the notice CMS is simple enough that your office runs it without me.

Because I am one accountable senior — not a sales rep handing off to a junior — the person who promised it works in admission week is the person who wrote the code that has to work in admission week. I take on a limited number of builds each month specifically so a deadline-bound admission site never slips, and I would rather decline a project than miss your admission window.

Frequently asked

The questions Dhaka college principals, secretaries and IT focals actually ask me before they sign.

College website development e koto taka lagbe in Dhaka?

The floor is 50,000 BDT for a focused, admission-ready college site — around 8 to 10 pages with notice board, faculty list, results display, an application form and a mobile-first build. 90,000 BDT gets a fully bilingual build with proper Bangla typography, gallery, alumni and governing-body pages, and a staff-run CMS. 1,50,000 BDT is a flagship college portal with departments, hostel, library, transcript requests and full Dhaka SEO. Custom development with NU result sync, online application and bKash, Nagad or SSLCommerz payment starts from 3,00,000 BDT. Always 50% advance, 50% on launch — no monthly retainer.

What is the difference between college web design and college website development here?

Design is how the site looks and feels — layout, colour, typography, the homepage your principal approves. Development is everything that has to actually work under load: the admission form delivering reliably, the results lookup, the notice CMS, page speed on a cheap phone, the database, and the structure Google indexes. I do both myself, but most college sites in Dhaka fail on development, not design — the homepage is fine and the admission form silently breaks the week it matters.

Our admission opens in about six weeks. Can the site realistically be developed in time?

Yes, if we start within the next 7 to 10 days. The 50,000 BDT focused college site is roughly 3 to 4 weeks from advance to launch; the 90,000 BDT bilingual build is about 5 to 6 weeks. I deliberately limit how many projects I take each month so admission-deadline builds do not slip. Send me your college name and deadline and I will tell you honestly, the same day, whether the timeline is real — I would rather refuse than miss your admission window.

Can our office assistant in Dhanmondi or Uttara post notices in Bangla without calling you?

Yes — building the CMS so your staff can run it is the entire point. After launch I record a short Bangla video walkthrough and do a screen-share session with one or two of your office people. Posting a notice takes about 90 seconds — title, Bangla or English body, optional PDF, publish. You never message me to put up an Eid holiday notice or a routine HSC second-shift update.

Can the website do online admission with bKash or Nagad payment for the application fee?

Yes, but that is custom development from 3,00,000 BDT. It includes an online application form with file upload for SSC and HSC certificates and photos, bKash, Nagad or SSLCommerz integration for the application fee, and an admin dashboard for your admission committee to review and shortlist applicants, plus NU portal linking where needed. If you only need a printable form with reliable email-on-submit, that is already covered in the 90,000 BDT tier.

We are an honours college affiliated with National University. Can you handle that?

Yes. NU-affiliated colleges in Dhaka need honours and degree department pages, a results section that links cleanly to the NU and Education Board portals, governing-body and academic-calendar pages, and bilingual content done properly. The standard build at 50,000 to 1,50,000 BDT covers display and clean linking. Live NU result synchronisation and student dashboards are custom development from 3,00,000 BDT, since that involves integrating with external data rather than just linking out.
